Another cabinet organized today. Some stuff went to the recycling bin, others directly to the garbage can. This is actually and on going project that I do every couple of years or as needed. But I didn't in 2023 so I started 2024 with another accomplishment. It feels good :) Hope that all of you have a nice week ahead.

@SbetaK We rock, and "impromptu" is king!

Another "cleaning" done without planning it. 1) Looking for some information in my e-mail box, I found items that were old and not relevant. They went to the e-trash can. 2) Looking for something else in my night-table, I also found papers, receipts, and other stuff that I didn't know where they came from. I don't remember…

@ElfBodGoals Thank you for the information about that book from F. Sasaki. I will check it out. I don't embrace everything that Marie Kondo practices and recommends, but I did learn few things from her that I already follow with good results. But I don't discard things that I haven't used in a year or two (especially if…

@Sand_TIger It is more than one box neatly stored in my closet. Inside the boxes are also cards that we sent to each other in different occasions thru the years. We will be celebrating our 58th wedding anniversary in April, and that can give you an idea of how many cards were saved. Even if some were already discarded due…

Greetings everyone! I am taking a short break from organization, cleaning, and de-clutting plans and goals noted in my-to-do-list, in order to tackle other routine daily chores. I selected this week some books that I will not read again for donation. I am planning to stop at the library in the gated community where I live…

Hi @ RubyRed427 Good job about the cards, and it does make a lot of sense! I have 2 or 3 large boxes full of cards (birthdays, holidays, anniversaries, and more). I ditched many of them during the pandemic but my ever-sentimental sweetheart that I have for a husband got attached to many of them, especially if they were…

I haven't done too much organization yet, but I am slowly getting there. I did find a couple of items of clothing inside my closet that I don't need/want any more so they are inside the donation box. I will wait until I get some more stuff before taking everything to the donation store. In the last few days I found water…

@StayFITTer Thank you for acknowledging all the efforts and success of the people posting in this forum, and congratulations on your own progress. One word of caution, if you are going to recycle electronics, make sure that the phones and laptops have a clean hard drive/sim-card and that no left-over-data can be used in a…

I am back! Obviously not time to clean or organize much yet. However, a couple of days ago one of the drawers in the kitchen got off the track and my husband took it out to fix it. I noticed that the inside needed cleaning (cleaning the kitchen drawers is in my to-do list), so while he was fixing the problem I cleaned and…

StayFITTer Thank you! I did check Staple online and they do accept many office staplers. That is good.
-
@StayFITTer Wow, you did a lot! I got tired just reading your comments. Good job! I am taking a break from declutering and organizing for a couple of weeks. My husband and I are taking a 12-day trip so I need to concentrate in that. I will make a list with my priorities when we get back. But, since it is tax season that…

To all of you: I found the link posted below online I want to pass it around. I didn't read the article in detail but it may have some useful information and hopefully solutions in relation to what all of us are going thru. As some of you wrote, sometimes I just send everything to the donation center hoping that they have…

So sad to hear and know that recycling is not available to everyone. How are we supposed to protect and clean Mother Earth without that program? A couple of months ago I searched online for places to recycle undies and garments that are not good or accepted for donation. In the process I learned that there are programs…

Today I dropped out at the donation center the bag of clothing that I mentioned few days ago. I also dropped another bag full of nice socks, and a pair of sandals that have been taking up room in my closet for a looooong time. I have another couple of pairs of shoes to donate, but I will save them for my next trip to DSW.…

@cory17 (Thank you for your support, I needed that) We used to go camping a lot when the boys were young and we had lots of fun, and now we have great memories. As we get older my husband and I treasure more the comforts of a hotel room or a condominium, while still having energy left to enjoy the surroundings. Time to…

@deepwoodslady You are right, but these books were nicely tucked in cabinets and shelves without bothering anybody. Although I admit that the cabinets look better and cleaner now, and the books were absolute. I am getting older (really older :'( ) and I don't want to leave my children with a lot of things to clean up and…

A plastic bag full of old and not longer relevant study books went to the recycling bin. A part of my past has been trashed, but I am keeping the memories and the knowledge. But I am sad..... :(

Glad that somebody revived this thread because it is inspiring and needed it. I am also working in cleaning up and organizing my closet, and a little bit at the time donating things that I no longer wear or need. But I am having trouble letting them go. I have a bag with items not good enough for the donation bin, but the…

I only snack in the mid afternoon and it's usually black coffee, 3 to 4 GF Milton crackers with a string cheese, and later on 1/2 bottle of Fair-Life chocolate protein drink (15 grams of protein). My husband drinks the rest of the drink.

@mtaratoot You are correct, my bad. I should have clarified that in my response as Ann already did in hers. However, the OP can still track fiber in her diary even if it is not a macro.
-
I don't know if things are different with the app, but in the website I list five macros in my diary, besides calories. Protein, Carbs, Fats, Fiber, and Sodium, and in my Nutrients goals I also list the amount of daily fiber that would like to reach, besides other nutrients.

@springlering62 Thank you for the information. I could probably have and enjoy 1/2 a bar as a desert when my lunch or dinner calories are in the lower side.
-
I Google them and it looks that they have 300 calories each. Ouch, that is a lot; almost like my lunch meal. Maybe I Google the wrong one.

@yirara "Naturopathic doctors are not really doctors and, depending on the country you're in mostly whoo. " What....? In order to become a licensed naturopathic doctor, one must first graduate from a four-year, professional-level program at a federally accredited naturopathic medical school. Upon graduation, you must take…

The freezer is your friend. Wrap, put in containers, label and don't forget to date them. Slice the cake and freeze individual pieces. You can also freeze slices of turkey for further use in sandwich, salads, soups. Sweet potatoes also freeze well. Think that the left overs are future meals, and you don't have to eat them…

I just came across this threat out of curiosity. I am sorry that you @BarbaraHelen2013 have been going thru such a hard time dealing with serious health issues for a long time. As I was reading the entirely threat I kept hoping that one of your doctors had tested you for the presence of HPV (human papilloma virus), and…

This is my little secret, actually a little cheating to avoid a re-set, if I am planning to be away for awhile If I know that I will be out for several days without internet access or interest in logging, I pre-log “something” or some fake meal for the days that I know I will be out. I can change or delete the entries when…

You need to add all the ingredients in the recipe builder section. Log all the ingredients, their amount, and the number of servings When you prepare your mix make sure that your weight in a scale the total mix, minus the pot, and then divide by 100gr to know how many portions/servings you will have. The recipe builder…
