I am the same that is why I don't eat oatmeal very often. Maybe once a month and just for a change but I have to have some cottage cheese too to increase my protein. I actually crash after eating oatmeal. Not a good feeling.

I always eat breakfast unless a blood test or procedure requires fasting. Twelve hours between dinner the day before and breakfast the following morning is enough for me. I don't have a big breakfast, but I do need to eat something, specially with protein, or a crush midday.

On vacation: no scale; no cooking, except for breakfast; no logging; portion control; not much exercise except for walking and in general not gaining for than 2 lbs.

Try walking barefoot outside in a 120F degree weather. Even the free radicals will be scorched. And shall the people living in Boston walk barefooted in the middle of January...? I don't like to walk barefoot unless I am walking in carpeted floor, the exception is when I am taking Yoga or Pilates class, otherwise not!
