  • I have been on Contrave for over a year now. I lost about 20 lbs right away, but since then have been stuck. I'm afraid to go off of it, because it definitely helps me control my eating and mind-set. My doctor is okay with me being on it still, since I had such good success when I first started.
  • Great job @mainebeachbum! You still have lots of time to wear the shorts.

  • Congratulations!!! That is awesome. I'm finally getting there two. Of course, it all depends on the pants, but my 20's are getting really loose in the butt, 18's are snug around the waist. Keep up the good work!

  • What an amazing job you have done! Congratulations!!!
  • @socialone74 - Only for the month of June. I don't want to do it all the time, but we will see how I do this weekend.

  • I look at motivational quotes on Pinterest. Doesn't always work. My daughter and husband leave chips around the house, and that is hard for me to resist. If I do grab the bag. I make myself portion out an amount, weigh it and log it before I eat it. At least, that is what I try to do, my willpower is not always the best.
  • Great Job!
  • I typically log my food in MFP, my water in FitBit, and then sync them for exercise. I don't add any additional exercise other than what my FitBit shows (I've never really studied how it does strength training though). I have the fitbit one - which clips to my bra or pants. There is nothing more aggravating than when you…
  • When I first started in January, I was very gung-ho with meal planning. Now it is much harder, and I find I am eating out more. When I put the effort in, I do the following: Slow cook chicken breasts in the crockpot and then divide it up and freeze it. Cook a bunch of ground turkey with garlic, onion, salt and pepper and…
  • I saw two separate doctors One who prescribed a 1200 calorie diet, and another a 1000 calorie diet. So yes, they actually do tell you to eat a restrictive diet. One was a rheumatologist, the other an endocrinologist.
  • Congratulations!
  • A step group sounds great! Any motivation of me is helpful.
  • Now at 116 sticks of butter!
  • I have the one, haven't upgraded yet to the bigger & better models. I've heard good things about both.
  • Glad to see you back...we've missed you. Since there is so little activity, it might be good to make it public. Or possibly just keep it private and post a few messages on our feeds for anyone that would like to join. When its public, tons of people can join, and there is less control. However, I'm not sure how many people…
  • You are doing so great with your weight loss! Sorry to hear you are under the weather, but it should be a beautiful weekend in Virginia Beach. My daughter was there last week on a mission trip and said the weather was gorgeous!
  • According the doctor - I've lost 4 lbs in one month. But I'm feeling much more positive today. I've went for a walk before dinner. I've also came up with a new idea for getting in some exercise. Use the bathroom - 10 squats Fill my water bottle - 15 calf raises Eat something (snack or meal) - 10 wall push-ups I drink a lot…
  • ReNae - you are doing awesome! I have a meeting tonight, but my boss and I went for a quick walk around our buildings. It was just 10 minutes and I added 1,000 steps. Hoping to make my goal today. 1 - 3,600 2 - 6,000 3 - 19,200 4 - 1,600 5- 2000 (forgot fitbit) 6 - 1,564 -went home sick 7 - Sick 8 - 3,000 9 - 2,000 (forgot…
  • I'd be interested. I've used my fitbit for years, and love it.

  • I've completely sucked at my goals this last week and 1/2. I was sick last week, and just ate whatever, and have been struggling to log, and get back to making better food choices. Then my period started and I just wanted to eat everything. I've been sneaking chocolate in and not logging it. Went to a conference yesterday…
  • Yesterday, I made the step goal. I was 13 steps short - but I got up and walked around to finish it. Hope to make my goals the rest of the month.
  • Please send me an invite... My three goals: 1. Completing the 30-day walking challenge 2. Weighing my food 3. Getting to the gym 3x week
  • I do, I have to weigh myself daily. I know I'm not supposed to, but what can you do. I try not to let it affect my outlook, and am successful for the most part.
  • There are some great youtube exercise videos for unfit people. You can try some of them in the privacy of your home. I have really bad knees, so I started doing seated Zumba workouts, before graduating to the standing ones.
  • Look on Pinterest for ideas. Schedule time to do it. I usually do my meal prep on Sundays. Sometimes it takes a few hours, but saves a lot of time during the week. I cut up my veggies and put them in smaller serving size containers - weighing them out and labeling them. I will usually cook chicken breast in the crockpot…
  • Buttered noodles, chicken & rice soup, saltines, and ginger ale - I eat what will make me feel better, and what I can keep down. Went through it this week - not fun.
  • Ugghh - I forgot to wear my fitbit yesterday, and didn't realize it until the afternoon. Today, I am restarting the walking challenge. As of this morning, I have only 732 steps :s I better get moving to get to 5,000 steps.
  • ReNae - you're doing a great job!
  • I've been down with the flu Monday afternoon through last night. Back at work, but still not 100%. I'm going to use today as a rest day still, and then start again tomorrow with Day 8.
