Not a thing wrong with it. Much better to bank calories and under-indulge for a day or two or three than to stay at your goal and then over-indulge.

You only have four pounds to lose? Oh, my, what are you doing to yourself?
-
I see there are two pages here so far, but I haven't read them. Nice joke, OP.

The subject is loose skin, not fat.
-
Loose skin is the same as pinching the back of your hand. If pinching another area is more than that, there is still fat to lose. Fat doesn't weigh very much, contrary to popular opinion. Five pounds of fat is about the size of a medium pumpkin.

Absolutely milkshakes! They average about 700 calories.

As long as you are active and watch your caloric intake, you will lose weight. No matter what age. No matter what medication. No matter if you quit smoking. No matter if you just had a baby. No matter if for the past six months you have been watching daytime television and eating bonbons and decide to change your ways.…
-
OP, when I quit smoking, I gained nearly 25 pounds seemingly overnight. Obviously, something changed. For one, the body has to burn 10% more calories to combat smoking. Now that the body doesn't have to combat smoking, calories expended decrease. However, this doesn't matter. Clearly I started eating more. I had never…

Actually, 60% of your body is water. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Body_water

I absolutely agree with McDonald's!!! We don't have Culver's here :(
-
This is true, although it's my most favorite form of exercise. At my weight (140 lbs.) a mile only burns about 75 calories. So when I do four miles on the treadmill, I'm burning about 300 calories. Four miles takes me about 80 minutes at an average of three mph. BUT I love, love walking, and love, love the treadmill.…

I have friends here who also record ridiculously food - McDonald's ice cream sundaes, etc. Don't worry about it. As long as it's within your calorie allotment, it's all good. Sounds like you have the wrong bunch of friends. BUT make sure it IS within your calorie allotment!!!
-
Eating more never results in a greater loss of calories. If you are walking/running 75 minutes a day and only eating 1200 calories, the weight should be falling off. I suspect you aren't logging your food correctly, and/or your walking and running for 75 minutes is mostly walking at a very slow pace with occasional bouts…

Not to mention will probably taste better as well. I keep saying I'm going to do that . . . but I'm stuck on Quest.
-
I log purposeful exercise, such as two miles on a treadmill or walking my dog a mile, just to keep myself accountable to ME. But if I go into a housekeeping frenzy (which is rare), I don't log it, just as I don't divide the total steps on fitbit by my average steps per mile and put down that I walked seven (or whatever)…

Yay @psoasi!

Are you a salesperson for Odwalla bars?

I've gotten halfway to my goal weight and I look so much better than I did 30 pounds ago (I'm 5'2") that I've been lagging a bit. I've been basically the same weight for six weeks, but I know I've been sloppy in logging and not exercising nearly as much as I had been. But I am back on the bandwagon now . . . and it might…

Wow.

Are you going to be saving a bug from death by losing 15 pounds in two weeks? Hardly seems worth it. Edited: Ahhh, I see you changed "bug life event" to "big life event".

I add a 6 oz. yogurt, a banana and/or strawberries, and use almond milk to make my shake. I don't do it very often, and it is a lot of calories, but it takes hours before I'm hungry again.
-
Eat less, move more. Works every time.
-
Eat the same thing and exercise the same for five weeks and see if it works. It probably will, and you probably won't.
-
It took me nearly a year to lose half of my goal weight (30 pounds) and hopefully I will reach the rest in another year. I keep fluctuating as I go on and off of my diet/exercise program (not good!).
-
My mile, at 5'2", is about 2500 steps walking. There's a lady at the Y about the same height as me who walks on the treadmill at 4.5 mph. She says she can't run because of some physical problem, but she walks at this speed twice a week for 90 minutes. And never sweats. I don't get it!

Real friends won't care if you are fat or skinny. BUT if they are overweight and you are constantly bragging about your new diet, how much weight you've lost, how much better you feel, ad nauseum, you are being cruel to your friend. Yes, it would be great if your friend said, "Wow, he/she is doing so good, I think I will…

An easy breakfast dish is 1/2 cup regular oatmeal, and 1/2 cup of any combination of milk and/or yogurt. Add a mashed or sliced banana or whatever else you would like, let it sit in the fridge overnight (you can do this in a drinking glass covered with plastic wrap to save room), and it's delicious - sort of like eating…

I like this! After brushing my teeth in the morning when I don't have time for breakfast, I'm not hungry until lunchtime. I know the dentists say to brush two or three times a day, but fact is, I have never brushed my teeth in the evening. Thanks so much! Evening munchies hit me, as well. My teeth thank you and my future…

That's why waivers are signed from the very beginning. The 800 pound person says, yes, feed me what I need to eat to lose x number of pounds. Facility does that. 800 pound person says, "You are starving me!". Facility says, "No we aren't, you are getting the proper amount of nutrition and calories each day." 800 pound…

38 pounds in six months is a lot, about 1.5 pound a week. I'm in the same predicament. I think after losing that "first" 32 pounds, I was caught in a zone where I was looking oh-so-much-better and even though there are still 28 pounds to go, I haven't been trying as hard. I just need to kickstart myself again. Before I…
