nut butter on celery sticks, sliced red peppers rolled up in turkey, bag of mixed nuts/seeds/coconut flakes/mini choc chips, cutie/halo tangerines, hardboiled eggs, string cheese, hummus with cucumber/celery/carrots. I tend to love a snack for a while than burn out. I am looking for new ideas as well :-)

Hi! I am 46 with an 11 year old son. Losing 50 pounds and lowering my blood pressure are my goals. While my thyroid is ok my sister has Hashimotos. She is mostly gluten free and takes thyroid meds.

LOVE mason jar salads and have been eating them for over a year now. I use quart jars and make 4 -5 at once. When I serve them for lunch I take the lettuce off the top and put it on my plate. My dinners are in the 500 calorie range. I seem to like either a big breakfast/light lunch or like today light breakfast/big lunch. I am 46 and in the last couple of years I am warm all.the.time especially at night. In the last year I mysteriously gained a bunch more weight without changing my eating habits. However I am still on BCP so my hormones should be pretty regular and I don't get mood swings.

My goal is improve my overall body strength, while I am losing weight. I don't really enjoy most sports but so enjoy biking, hiking, camping. I'd like to be able to actually lift my bike into the back of truck someday :D Also I hear that weight bearing exercises are good for bone strength.

If you want to do low carb, try increasing your fat and lowering your protein. That is the highest protein I've seen someone post here.
