1. Run a 5k in under 30 minutes 2. Get stronger!

Running a 5k in 30 minutes by June! I've been training for the past few months and have been making solid progress. Every minute that I can add when I train makes me so excited :)

Running 1 mile in under 10 minutes! (im so slow! lol)

Exercise and trying on old clothes have helped me keep my sanity. There have been days when I look in the mirror and think I look exactly the same. On those days I go into my closet and pull out a dress I bought back in August that was TIGHT as heck when I originally bought it. Now, it's loose and I'll need to get it…

I would try to see a therapist first and foremost. I knew my binge-eating was stress induced and after gaining over 50 pounds during my undergrad years, I decided to finally see a therapist right before I started grad school. It helped me immensely, but not immediately. It took me about a year to muster up the courage and…

Wearing a cute swimsuit for my trip to Florida in January!

I hit 100 days logged, I bought a size 12 jeans (the last pair I bought before this were a size 16!!), a dress I bought 4 months ago is now loose on me!

I'm only 2 pounds shy of being in the 180's! Something I haven't seen in over 5 years!

I can wholly empathize with you! It took me six months to build up enough confidence to go to the free weights section of my gym. A trick I did was practice the movements at home (weightless) and look at myself in the mirror to make sure my form looked okay. I would practice my whole lift routine at home first and then go…

I have a fitbit versa which has been pretty consistent for me. I don't log any exercise into MFP because my Fitbit activity automatically syncs, which is nice. I have been losing consistently for about 3 months using it and eating back about 90% of my exercise calories so I think it's proven worth it for me at least.

Mine is always dinner. I'm so busy in the morning and afternoon that I can get away with small snacks so I can eat a 700 cal dinner when I get home.

My last 6 pounds until hitting my first mini-goal weight!!

Running a 5k all the way through!

I know this sounds terrible...but vodka with lime lacroix is pretty good.

Hitting 100 days logged. Getting down to 189 in the next two months.

I don't weight myself super often, but I do take progress pictures every few weeks as a way of checking progress. A lot of the time my scale stays the same, but my pictures look a lot different.

I can sympathize. I literally had fried tell me "I wasn't as fun anymore" because I'm making healthier choices and won't slam a double cheeseburger and two orders of fries after a night of going out (I only slam a single cheeseburger now!!). It's very frustrating, but usually, when someone is criticizing you they're…

I had crunching in my right knee that started back in February with no pain. I ignored it, then it started to become painful walking up and down stairs and I finally went to my Ortho and now I have to restrict exercise and go to PT twice a week for it. Runner's knee :( I would get it checked out sooner than later.

I ate when I was sad, angry, or stressed. During my undergrad of college and my first year of grad school, that happened to be 99% of the time.

I don't want to be overweight like the rest of my family. Someone needed to break the pattern and I decided it was going to be me. Also my boyfriend is very healthy and active and he encourages me by example.

I really pay attention to my hunger cues now, which is something I used to ignore. I've also stopped giving myself a certain number of weeks/months/days to lose weight and it feels a lot more natural. It's taken me almost 4 months to lose 15 lbs and I'm fine with it. I know that I'm making progress every single day! There…

1. I ran a mile all the way through! 2. I ate without tracking or wearing my fitbit at my friend's wedding (which I was happily standing up in) and was able to get right back on track the next day. This was a huge step for me because I felt like I was becoming a little obsessive about my weight loss and activity goals. It…

@elisa123gal thank you for your kind comments! I do think that she is trying to bring me down, intentionally or not.
-
Thank you, everyone, for your kind and supportive comments! I think the best thing for now is to just avoid the topic of weight loss with my mom indefinitely. Also thank you @Evelyn_Gorfram for the chuckle! I love those translations lol @CCgal2018 I really like the idea of the gray rock! I'll probably try this too.
-
I've told her multiple times to stop, but she hasn't which is frustrating. My weight loss seems almost like a joke to her :/
-
@jgnatca she would kill me if I ever put her in a nursing home lmao! and yes she has a masters degree in physics and chemistry which sucks even more cause she was very thin when she was in grad school. @linda2017th thank you for the suggestion!
-
Awesome thanks! It's more of me going stir crazy not doing anything lol
-
You can add me! I'm very friendly :)
