  • Omlettes are good, low in calories but quite filling. Make them interesting by adding lots of veg but I would skip the cheese if you are trying to keep your cals low.
  • I lost 17lbs in 2-3 months on 1200 cals per day. I've just had knee surgery so that was with no exercise. You need to be strict, honesty is the key.
  • I live in Scotland and I have honestly never eaten a deep fried mars bar or a battered sausage, lol! You will find a great abundance of fresh, healthy foods here in Scotland if that's what you're looking for, don't worry. We will however be deeply offended if you don't at least try our haggis and our Stornoway black…
  • Vodka, soda water with fresh lime - it's not called a Skinny *kitten* for nothing!
  • I would never now treat myself to a cocktail when I go out with friends, they are laden with sugar and calories and for me, just not worth it!
  • Seriously, take a step back and listen to yourself, don't you think this sounds like obsessive behaviour? I would recommend you ditch the scales for a while and use a tape measure instead.
  • I quit a couple of years ago and gained about 20lbs (I wasn't overweight at all when I quit). This was because I probably ate more sugary snacks without realising. I think you feel an"emptiness" when you stop smoking and you want to fill that with something, usually food! I've heard smoking increases metabolism but not…
  • Try hot water with a slice of lemon first thing in the morning and another couple throughout the day on top of your usual waster intake. I agree with the other posts about fat too, avacado works well. Good luck!
  • This is why I believe weighing yourself more than once a week becomes obsessive. Too many fluctuations, once a week is more than enough.
  • Hi, sounds like you've set a realistic goal for May so no reason why that shouldn't happen if you stick to the plan MFP sets for you. Log everything and don't 'reward' yourself till you really deserve it, maybe like once you reach your 190 goal for May. Don't weigh yourself too often either, go by how your clothes feel.…
  • Once a week, same day, same time (first thing in morning). I personally feel any more than that is a bad idea but whatever works for you.
  • No, I don't have days off. Maybe on the weekend I will have an extra 200 calls or so ,whether that's a glass of wine or something sweet but still log it.
  • I also work in an office working long hours and no lunch breaks. I try to walk briskly in the evenings for 30-60 mins if possible but probably only manage that 2 or 3 times a week plus a long walk at weekends for about 2 hours. That's all the exercise I manage so restrict my calories to 1200 so I'm still losing weight. I…
  • Tried HB a few years ago, stuck to the plan (I only had about 20lbs to lose) but I didn't lose a pound! Eating a calorie deficit but still enjoying good food is the way forward for me. I know people who had some success with Herbalife but they had a lot of weight to lose.
  • I don't lose weight when I'm drinking alcohol. I normally drink on a Friday and Saturday night, few glasses of white wine both nights but I end up snacking while I'm drinking and I cave in to cravings the following day. I don't gain weight but I stay the same even if I've been cutting calories all week. I've only had 3…
  • I like this idea and am stealing it
