Seven! Such a lucky number. Keep it up!

Hahaha....Jen, I just saw this post! How true!!!! I wouldn't waste my time with commercial pecan pie! Give me a good ol' Southern-girl recipe. Fortunately, no one here in the north has a clue, so I don't have to avoid temptation but I am dreaming of one now. Full of nuts right to the bottom! My FIL has pecan trees on his…

Congratulations on your accomplishments! I usually stick to the Over 50 crowd but happened to pick up your feed this morning. You are certainly giving back by "putting yourself out there" as an inspiration to others. I also found that you can teach an old dog new tricks and have lost a significant amount of weight over the…

I had a bag of Cuties slip under the seat on the way home from the grocery store....and found them the next morning frozen solid. Can't afford to lose an entire bag of fruit, so dropped them into my own freezer. I cut them in half and scooped out the flesh semi-frozen to eat like sherbert, used them in smoothies and…

First, welcome! As a fellow active person, I think I understand where you're coming from. (Friend me if you like. I'm in my rowing off-season now, so a bit less active than in summer, but I'm happy to support a fellow active person.) But, that said: Dang it, man, you've hit one of my hot-buttons (bolded above)! Why, oh,…

This is hysterical...great lunchtime read! I am living in America having been raised in Canada by British-born parents. Tradition remains as I bought the tartan tin of shortbread for Christmas! :) Backing up to the comment about the "measurment system"....it was not the Brits that have saddled the US with the archaic…

@E_Brault - it most definately counts! I am very "frustrated" because I have actually gone out, purchased new dress pants, needed to hem them ..... and ended up taking them back for a smaller size before I got it done. THREE times! (I hate to sew but I have short legs....even the petites need to come up or I walk on the…

Lately, I have been shopping for me, without (as much) guilt. Always shopped sales and clearance but have rewarded my decreasing sizes with new, fitted clothing. Actually purchased a nice pair of dress pants, but before I could get around to having them shortened, I needed to exchange them for a smaller size. I can shop in…

Hangs by my desk, is in my wallet and used it as my profile pic for a while. I reward the puppies a lot...I have learned not to reward myself (as much!)

Amen, sisters!! I haven't reached maintenence yet but you two (luluinca and marekdds) have become my BFFs! I KNOW I can't be trusted so it is affirming to know that there are those who have gone before and are willing to share their trials and triumphs with the rest of us. Thank you!

@BRaye325, Where do you find these? I can always count on you for a laugh!!
-
@ellynmae, I agree with my fellow MFP friends here; this will be a lifestyle change for you. If you can continue to log and find a healthier eating pattern, you will be able to sustain it for the rest of your life. And I also think that it would be wonderful if you can avoid the surgical route. You are already experiencing…

True, Lulu. I am finding myself buying one or two pairs of tighter "leggings" and wearing some of my looser (longer) tops over them. I am STILL astounded by the changes this old body is going through! LOL. You are right, I do not ever want to go back.

And a beautiful little smoochy face it is, too!

A princess to spoil!! Congrats!

Well, it finally happened to me....I was standing around minding my own business when I reached over to get something and suddenly found my jeans around my ankles! @BRaye, was that you with the WalMart incident? I laughed pretty hard at myself because fortunately, I was not in public and there was no indecent exposure!!…

The young ladies on the drafts already have small butts. I'm thinking I might just look like I'm in competition for the wide load sign!

@klkarlen, I need to find some of that Healium! Mine is coming in grey all over. What there is left of it. I have lost so much hair in the last year or so, I feel almost bald (I have, and have always had, lots) But my single braid is now much less thick than when I had double braids, and I have wads of hair in the comb…

Blah!!! All this talk about ice cream and I had to go get some! However, I just had 1/3 cup instead of 2 full cups. (It was 1/3 instead of 1/4 because there was a nice big chunck of chocolate I wanted!) Does that count?
-
@nikkib0103 - Recently, I also discovered the satisfaction of sorbet. It was cold and tasty and not something I would have chosen previously (especially if fudgy chocolate was available!) Nice NSV.

Hahaha!

Was able to get back in the pool for the first time in several weeks. Wasn't until I headed to the showers that I realized I didn't have my beach towel, just the little bath towel I use for my hair. Guess what? It wrapped around me no problem! No indecent exposures.

@BRaye325, you are one funny guy. Belly laughs are great exercise!

I really needed some "summer" pants but have put it off because school is out and I can wear almost anything to work right now. However, I have to spend 2 weeks at our State Fair and I decided I really couldn't keep hauling up the jeans I have been wearing, not to mention they would be really too warm in our building if…

Not just worn...worn out! Way to go!

Good advice from Giolis and CarlydogsMom. I think you may be displacing some nervous energy about your upcoming nuptuals into weight issues. You have been so immersed in getting healthier and losing weight, you are focused on that being the problem. Pre-wedding jitters is normal and happens to everyone. Momentous step in…

Good Job, Nikki! You inspire me to stick to the game plan on vacation this week and not just write it off!

By the way, Darling Daughter was pretty surprised!

Went shopping with my adult daughter to find some dress slacks. Tentatively tried on a size 18. Sent her back to find a smaller size. And then sent her back AGAIN!! I haven't bought a size 14 in years! I figure it is the cut of the slacks, but I'm taking it as a NSV and a very Happy Birthday to me!!

Hahaha....definitely canine so far.
