27/05 - 5 mile run (really heavy legs, so wanted to quit at 2,3,4 miles, but was too daft to actually do it), followed with Interval & Arms workout

Ugly is in the eye of the beholder, and there is a difference between overweight and ugly. The problem I am reading is that you "think" you are ugly, which then has an impact on your whole way of thinking. Accept yourself as who you are, and what others think about you, who gives a toss, they should accept you for who you…

@Elise4270 & @garygse - thanks for the sharing of information ... definitely made my day 26/05 - short 3.8mile pace run, followed with Interval & Core I thought I was not going to make my monthly total with getting de-motivated on the longer runs, but I might still make it

@ddmom0811 - Have a look at these, they are the bone-conductor ones, which is the more expensive pair i decided to splash out on, after on a cheaper pair I got irritation - these are super-comfy, and legal for every event :) https://amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B018XNGO5A/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o04_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1

@rusgolden - I got the QuadLock, and it looks really cool to be able to "unclick" it and remount it, but like you I have (again) reversed to my trusted belt which even holds my gin bottles :)

Holy cwap, I have not logged any mileage over here for a week, but I have tracked my total for the month using "Run around the World", which tracks everything from Strava. According to that I have done 116.98 miles to date, so I will have that, rather than tallying everything up again (I am a lazy git :) ) ... had some…

"I tried to be kind in going back and clarifying my position but you don't want to bother. You seem to be projecting and feel the need to attack others. That's on you. You seem to still be stuck on the assumption that I exercise three hours per day; I'm not rehashing that again. Never once did I write that anyone who…

Hope you will accomplish your goals this time around as well. I would say "send me an invite", but as I am less than diplomatic that might not be a good idea. I even had people deleting my replies because they did not like my "motivational criticism", which probably was too honest

08/05 - 3.5mile very hilly run (100mtr in first 12 minutes), followed with Interval, Arms & Core 09/05 - 5.3 mile in 41mins, hit the wrong button on my TM after a speed increase, which stopped my 6 mile attempt short ... doh ... well above target speed for 10K in 50 mins though, although it was killing me not so softly…

07/05 - 3.2 miles run, 14 mile ride - Not well, so thought I was going to skip today, and then ended up running 30 mins, cycling 30 mins, and 20 mins Interval & Core ... I think my brain cell does not understand the meaning of an "off-day" very well Completed • 11/03 - 10K Run The Solar System (thanks for the tip) - 52:01…

05/05 - Rest day 06/05 - 5 mile fast(er) run, averaging @7:59 per mile, wow wow wow, one more mile at that pace and I might get the 50 mins mark, the 1st 3 miles were killing me not so softly though - followed with Interval and Core Completed • 11/03 - 10K Run The Solar System (thanks for the tip) - 52:01 • 12/03 - TM Half…

Getting up early on its own will leave me regretting getting up early. Getting up early for a workout will set me up for the day. I workout most days very early :)

are you not overthinking this too much??

smoking is a "touchable" source, so what are you going to base obese on? Weight? BMI? Fat percentage, these are all figures that are either very shadowy/incorrect, or can fluctuate greatly

the integration, like with all Garmins, is via Garmin Connect, which is connected to MFP

04/05 - 4.25 mile speed(ier) run @7:42min/mile (would not be able to sustain that for the full 6.2mile, as I was slowly preparing for my coffin), followed with Interval & Chest Completed • 11/03 - 10K Run The Solar System (thanks for the tip) - 52:01 • 12/03 - TM Half Marathon (plugged in the MK HM route - attempt 1 ) -…

That helps, I will see what my base pace is on Saturday, and work from there. I think my recent best time for a 10K was around 53 minutes, so we'll see what we can shave off, and see if 50 minutes is achievable

Got a 10K event planned for June, for which I am trying to aim to run it in 50 minutes. Probably completely nuts, but one needs to have a challenge  So far I have been concentrating on endurance for my HM, so this will be a different approach I guess. Any advice much appreciated ... thankee sai

mmm, ran half marathon yesterday, and only burned around 1500cals. Would not even want to do that 5 - 6 times per week.

01/05 - 13.1 mile - Captain Turtle managed to complete his first official HM. Stayed with the 2hr pacer for the 1st mile, and then managed to stay with the 1:55 pacer (only just). Official time was 1:55:30, so managed to stay under my goal. Weather was cold (which is why wimp I am, I wore the long legs and a gilet over my…

That is what I was thinking as well, as this is my first one, if I stick to my game plan I can always adjust for the 2nd HM - but this way I can adjust on how I feel

28/04 - 4 mile run - avg pace 8:22, which again is too fast - Found out they have pacers on Monday as well, so now wondering if I should go with the 2hr pacer or the 1:55hr pacer ... decisions decisions - any suggestions would be much appreciated Completed • 11/03 - 10K Run The Solar System (thanks for the tip) - 52:01 •…

it is very difficult to find the "right" workout buddy. I used to have a workout buddy, and the thing that made it work is that you have the same commitment, and are able to push each other. It can bring your workouts to a whole different level if you have the right buddy
