101 this morning which is high for me...I didn't eat a ton of food, just really greasy ones that caused me to be sick for half the night....I did eat pecan pie as it was my sons birthday. My stomach started spasming which has not happened since right before diabetes diagnosis so I am wondering if it was from high blood…

Hmmm interesting read. I take vitamin d...but I'm tired of all the pills. Adding another one in the mix is a little daunting.

@leanmachine514 sounds like you and fruit don't mix...did you try eating a protein with it? My sugars were 90 this morning, and considering my supper that I ate (think sandwich and homemade macaroni and cheese) I think it's pretty good considering! For everyone else awesome job on your sugars!

Lol awesome! He approves! He has been "talking" to me all day...he wants to go for a walk. I took my black lab Maddie today and he gets to go tomorrow! Love the pic!

Sounds like it will be fine then. That was what happened to me when I did weights and on insulin. My body was able to deal with it within an hour and rectified it on its own...even with a snack included. Funny how the body works!

Awwww thanks! That's the best compliment EVER! Thanks for your compliment as well @scolaris. I hope you feel better soon! @BruceHedtke awesome job on your hiking! @ihj385 I used to walk in the evening with a friend of mine...I miss those days...we actually used to walk in the morning, in the winter...we were hard core lol…

How long are your sugars up afterward? If it's more than an hour...I probably would scale back. I used to have the same issue when I was on insulin. Now I have the opposite effect...HIIT workouts don't work for me, too low no matter what I do or time of the day. So not all workouts are good for diabetics...I know it really…

90....everyone's sugars are great...great job everyone! @leanmachine514 awesome job on getting back to the gym!

I walked 2.79 km in 31 minutes and 10 seconds. Pic of my choc lab since I don't want him to feel left out lmao! He was a "little excited" before his walk

77 today....looks like a few here (including me) has had a cheat weekend lol....must have been something in the air!
-
Thanks for all the replies I REALLY appreciate the time you guys put in. I have decided to stay on it, and will discuss about decreasing it with my diabetic pharmacist in January (or sooner depending on the amount of refills I have left lol). I had seen a doctor initially at diagnosis but she has since left hence the…

Well what about the labels do you need help with. As a rule of thumb 15 g of carbs is considered one serving. So if for example you see a serving size that has 30 g then that is considered 2 servings. You are also supposed to subtract the fibre off of that. So if that 30 g of whatever your eating has 10 g of fibre....then…

When I first checked I was 108, I checked a second time and it said I was 94 (more in the range I have been). Antibiotics are throwing me through a loop lol.
-
3.02 km today in about 39 minutes lol...I thought it was a 4km walk
-
94 today...still a bit up from my normal...but I'm still happy with it!
-
Well considering I have quite a bit insight into diabetes...I do KNOW that diabetes can't be cured...that wasn't the question lol...let me put it this way...if your doctor told you to go off of a statin ...would you consider it?
-
@barbiecat they are sooo cute! I forgot my Fitbit :( so I can't tell you the exact distance my walk was this morning but it is for the 3 km walk! Awesome day so far
-
Great job @leanmachine514 I'm at 90 this morning
-
Thanks so much....I have a chocolate male ask well. I'm taking turns walking them. Love my dogs!

Thanks @mrron2u ...the cake is an issue for me right now as well...I love to bake and it's very hard to resist. @BarneyRubbleMD glad your on the mend...your numbers are great considering you were sick!
-
95 this morning...probably TMI but I woke up with a urinary tract infection so off to the doctor I go today....numbers are still good though

I eat protein at every snack and meal...but I am a diabetic and it helps with blood sugar levels. I always choose small portions of light cheeses, hard boiled eggs, peanut butter, ect. Without it I wouldn't be able to function very well!
-
My daughter also suffers horrible anxiety (gee I wonder where she gets it from lol). She will eventually have to take something but for now no...she is 12. If we get to the point where she isn't functioning (think no sleep, can't leave the house ect.) then I would consider it as a worse possible case scenario...then I…

I'm in! I walk my dogs 5 days a week, 3-4km each time. Today I did the 3 km walk with only one of the dogs as taking both of them has been too difficult.
-
I used to walk 3km a day with my son when he was little! It can be done!
-
I'm on them and have lost 50 lbs. I have to be strict with what I eat and consistent! I also have to be way more active than the average person. It's kind of a fine balance.
-
86 :) ...I'm going to own that today...very happy! @kensmith108 Happy Belated Birthday!

I suffer daily and I find exercise does help to a point. For the rest I have to take medication. But for me I walk my dogs daily and elliptical! Vitamin D does help as well but it takes a long time to kick in.
