  • Enjoy your honeymoon and your vacation. Your body will tell you when you've had enough. Eat and drink it up and you'll recover when you get back, if there's much weight gain at all.

  • Live a little. Eat your favorite ice cream, just don't overdo it. I eat one serving of my favorite Blue Bell or B&J flavor, plus some raspberries (or other fruits) and chopped walnuts. Very filling and tasty dessert for little more than 200 calories, depending on the ice cream flavor. You should be able to enjoy the foods…
  • This is what I do as well. Exception is when there is leftover from cooking, such as oil for frying or dry mix for coating - I just reduce the quantity (amount) of those ingredients in the recipe.
  • I estimate about 65-70% of the raw weight for meat only, then use USDA nutrition info based on the raw, meat-only weight.
  • I heat up fat free half-and-half in the microwave for 10 secs, then add coffee. Sometimes I use sweetened condensed milk instead of half-and-half for variety (and some sweetness).
  • Agreed. Take some responsibility and hold yourself accountable for your actions. Your partner should also support you and not make you feel guilty about refusing to eat something that you don't feel like eating.
  • Cherry banana Nutella smoothie: * 3/4 cup pitted frozen cherries * 1/2 frozen banana * 3/4 cup unsweetend almond milk * 1/2 cup nonfat Greek yogurt * 1/2 Tbsp Nutella hazelnut spread * ice Only 265 calories for 24 oz cup. Fills me up until lunch.
  • Google the recipe for "heroin chicken" which is very low in carbs and very tasty. I also add it to other things - like salad, wraps, pita, pizza, etc. - instead of shredded or rotisserie chicken.
  • Don't be discouraged. It can be very difficult the first few days, or even the first few weeks. I viewed this as a completely new approach to eating - like learning to eat all over again. It's very exciting!!! And creating recipes, planning, anticipating, living, feeling great, and seeing results are what make it so…
  • I added 1 Tbsp Nutella to a banana-cherry-Greek yogurt smoothie. Tasted really good, but a bit too sweet. Will try 1/2 Tbsp next time, for only 50 cals to a healthy morning breakfast.
  • Fantastic! Thanks so much for the prompt responses. I agree, #2 makes the most sense. I will use the raw weight, meat and skin only, to calculate the nutrition values. Thanks again for everyone's support.
