I have a step. I do an hour almost every day for about 6 months now. I don't do a video I just listen to music and step. But my legs are strong and you can see every muscle. It's also a great bum workout. Some people might think my legs are too bulky but I don't care. Plus I think it is just genetics

Anywhere from $600- $1200 depends on the stores I shop. Money for food is not really a big problem in our home. We eat mostly plant based vegan. If I tried hard I could keep it under $800. I am a sucker for whole foods. Family of 6 with 2 teenaged boys.

I eat back some of my calories. Sometimes I log cleaning because I have stairs and 4 kids it is actual exercise when I do some real cleaning. I only do that because I don't have a fitbit or anything like that. I usually do not eat back those calories. But is literally just to track my activity.

I made vegan split pea soup 2 nights ago. Too yummy and only 100 calories a serving.

Yes this. we definitely show our age if we call flip flops thongs. Lol I remember when the only came in black with the rainbow strap. They were way more comfortable back then too.

Have you tried Whole Foods for your seitan? I am pretty sure I bought some kosher there before. But I don't usually buy it either it is way cheaper to make from scratch and less salt and crap.

If they could name it something different. You better believe they would.

I have 3-4 heavy days of 40 minutes step aerobics in the day and then 20-30 minutes on recumbent bike late at night before bed 1-2 medium days of just the step and then 2 days of just an easy 30 minute walk or heavy house cleaning. Just to be sure I stay somewhat active on my down days. My heavy days I do because I enjoy…

Thin mints are small and really thin. 4 is just not enough...... Maybe 1 whole sleave is a serving for most.. Lol

Hmnm I bought a bag of preground in the pantry section of the grocery. I have kept them in my pantry. Is there something I am missing? Is this to keep fresh? It's food safety issue? Now I am concerned....

Engine 2 website has a great lentil loaf recipe. Lots of others too. The loaf if made as recipe calls is probably 400 cals but filling enough to have with just a side salad. It can also be modified to less calories if you get creative. (leave out walnuts) I replaced with ground mushrooms. Soups usually always low calorie I…

I wouldn't worry about it. It sounds like this was a special event. Do a little extra exercise this week.

One of these days you will have an endorsement deal with Kraft!

It is not about the fact humans have been eating meat for millions of years. This is true. And it is OK to eat meat. But it is how much we eat. Unfortunately that magic number is not known. But what is known is our bodies do not need it.

If you are looking to transition try watching the engine 2 diet on Netflix. Or plant pure nation also on Netflix. I would not put much stock in what the MFP professional commentary staff have to say.
-
I know it is the general idea that mfp overestimates calorie burn. But why? I have checked out different sites, and all of the ones that take weight in account state similar numbers for simalr exercises.

People who have eating disorders have a serious medical/psychological condition. They often diet and use restrictions as a reason to validate the eating disorder. This can be said for any diet. Veganism does not cause said disorder. Personally I think that this is a ploy to sell more books. That being said I have not read…

Night shifts are hard. I worked them for many years and never really knew what meal I was eating and when.
-
I did not say it did not have other implications. I said many people used the terms interchangeable. And I just feel since this is a food and nutrition thread we can assume we are speaking of a vegan diet and leave advocating to other conversations.
-
Give me a break what is your source. Are you offended? Are you vegan?
-
Many people use the terms interchangeable and nobody cares. Most vegans are happy plant based people are avoiding animal foods. Plus a lot of people are still not familiar with the term "plant based".
-
No it's not an all processed foods have sugar /salt thing. If you read my post I said I have never tried them so I don't know. I just thought it might be worth checking out because I am sure they're vastly different by brand. And some are loaded for flavoring.

I believe you must live in the great lake area. Nobody calls soda "pop" around here.
