TOS all the way, baby!

Came back from 12 weeks in Europe 7 1/2 pounds lighter. We did lots of walking... I made the best food choices I could, enjoyed my beer and other treats when I wanted them, and logged every last thing. It really wasn't a big deal, at all; and I was actually more relaxed, knowing I wasn't totally blowing all of my hard work…

The honeymoon period you are experiencing usually lasts 2 weeks or so. It feels soooo easy... Then, one day, one wakes up hungry! Make sure you keep your protein levels up, pay attention to your macros/nutrients in general, and start listening to your body. Oh! And don't forget to take good 'before' picks and a good set of…

Yesterday I gave my daughter a bear hug. I am amazed how much further around her my arms go, now! (She said it's because my arms are going around her, and not around both of us.)

On our 12 week trip, I managed to lose 7 1/2 pounds - Better still, I lost 8 3/4"! (I measure at hips, bust, waist, thigh, calf, neck, bicep, and forearm -- Since January, across these 8 points, I've lost nearly 32".)

My tummy grumbles when I am under stress. (It was a revelation to me when I figured that out!)

Click on the little star in the upper right; it should turn yellow.

If you have no idea how to get started, read the stickied posts at the top of the various threads. (Start with 'Getting Started' - then 'Food and Nutrition', 'Fitness and Exercise', and 'General ... Help' . 'Motivation and Support' is good, too, of course!)

Welcome to MFP and to our challenge! You did it perfectly (just post - no need to be added). I recommend copying your post to a blank document on your computer. Then, each week you can update it and copy and paste to post your new info. (Otherwise you'll have to sift through the responses to find what you wrote before.)…

This is me, in part! And my best buddy - and canine exercise companion - is named Frodo, so there's that. I'm just over halfway on my weight loss journey (maintenance being a whole 'nother ball game (uhm... quidditch?)), at 50 pounds down.

Slow and steady wins the race. (In general, each 25 pounds of excess weight translates to a half-pound per week reasonable loss... After the initial water weight, a person who is 100 pounds overweight could lose 2 pounds per week without undue stress on his body; the same person with 20 pounds to go should look for 1/2…
