Lose 5 pounds, which will put me at 100 pounds gone. Add resistance bands to exercise plan (missed this one in October). Walk 3 days a week, elliptical 3 days a week. Get everyone of my vitamins and calcium in, no skipping!

Or you can add a set number of quick calories every day, like 500. You will know they are fake, and it's easy to know your real amount. I've been told you can even go in and delete them after completing your entry.

I find it fascinating that whenever this topic comes up, on any site, there is such a huge variation in what each practice recommends. I think that is one reason people get concerned/confused about what is the "right" way to keep going on this journey. My program set no calorie goals, just protein and water, and follow the…

I'm getting in 65 grams of protein in 650 _ 700 calories, and I could make it more. One syntrax shake, one dannon light and fit Greek yogurt, 2 oz of ground turkey, a few meatballs, 4 oz of soy milk, one baby bell light cheese, or a second Greek yogurt... it's not hard. I just pick my proteins very carefully. They have to…

I also purchased resistance bands with handles. I'm 60, walking about 20 miles per week, plus some elliptical. Fursian, can you steer me towards the videos you found most helpful to get started? TIA!

I've hit two of my three so far. Weight 199.0, entered Onederland! Yeah! Have added some veggies to every meal. Have not started resistance training yet with bands, anyone have a good resource for the basics?

Not everyone has a rough recovery. I had a scopalamine patch before surgery, nausea meds and a mild painkiller while in the hospital, and that was it. No nausea, never a problem drinking fluids, meet my protein and water goals from day two. I'm not saying you will have the same, yours could be rough, but many of us do have…

I like this. It will force me to think of the small changes I need to put into my life one by one to really succeed. October goals: Add resistance training to my walking and elliptical. Vary my diet a little, and add vegetables back in. Enter Onederland.

Hmm, had something similar happen recently. In the chair at the optometrist, he starts telling me without any encouragement at all about how if I follow the wheat belly diet, i can lose all my excess weight. BTW, he was skinny as a rail. I handled it by voting with my pocketbook, let them show me frames and lenses, write…
