  • Wow, thank you julielh! That is very informative and I will most certainly look into getting these and having them on hand.
  • Hi, Sunny_Bunny, nope no twitching at all. Just that horrible feeling. Thank you so much for your input. It's good to know that this is not some isolated occurrence.
  • I can really relate, lemur. I don't appear in panels, but the TV weaves it's way into my dreams. If I fall asleep to Chopped or Cutthroat Kitchen, or anything, it's incorporated and I'm talking to somebody about this new food or I'm trying it.
  • That was probably the most boring of them that I'd seen - and blatantly skewed, if I remember right.
  • Hey, Coconutty - are you my lost twin that they told me I had? Seriously, yeah. I drank vodka every night after work and was not productive at all, meaning I fell asleep in front of the TV. I listened to the people who said, "Oh, you can drink vodka, no calories." Well, when I started tracking it - holy crap! Yeah, the…
  • You know, when I did see my doc, it didn't come up because I wasn't exercising. I'm going to see her here in a couple of weeks. So, I'll remember to bring it up. In the meantime, thorsmom, please do update what he is told. Thank you!
  • Holy crap, Cherimoose! That sounds just like it, only mine ends as soon as I get cooled off. So, when it happens, if I'm in a place to pull off the clothes and stand by a fan or in AC for a few minutes, it goes away immediately. The areas are red like a rash, but there are no welts, etc. at all.
  • Hi, Shor, I take three Super B Complex daily. But even when I wasn't I had this happen. I need to see if it happens with loose clothing - the other night, I did a pretty good hard hour long workout in loose non-spandexy clothes, and I don't recall it happening. I will have to test it again.
  • Hi, DavPul, the areas that are affected are my rear end, back and lower legs - all in the back, nothing on the front side of me is affected. Shhhhh about my age!
  • Hi, Lishie, I don't think so, because it's been going on with any kind of detergent and even when I just run a wash with water only. Yes, no more spandex or walking in the heat with tight jeans! Hi, niner, nope no niacin - that is an awful feeling, very much like this. Hi, RoseMarie, it IS a horrible, horrible feeling. It…
  • Well, sixx, this is not a cooking question (although I could ask you a million of them), have you ever toyed with the idea of trying out for one of the cooking challenge shows (chopped, etc)?
  • I weigh every morning. It seems that for the past four days I have been losing 2 ounces a day. TWO OUNCES! There are people who lose 1 pound a week! I also weigh at the office just to see if there's any difference.
  • Up until a couple of months ago I was drinking vodka nightly after work. I don't normally eat much, but alcohol made me so hungry that I could honestly go through an entire pizza by myself and then some. I didn't exercise anymore and just became lethargic. Now, I'm back to taking my 1-2 mile walks at lunch, 4-8 mile walks…
  • Thank you, CyberTone, and thank you for helping me with the bookmarks and unbookmarking them.
  • I have just recently begun following the low FODMAP diet and it is really, really helping. It seems that just about everything would set off a terrible flare - bread, cookies, cake, donuts, apples, nuts, beans, any vegetable in the broccoli/cabbage family, too much hot sauce and the list goes on - to the point where I was…
  • Ah, thank you macgurlnet. I will try that.
  • Oh, good lord, really? Thank you for the info, Socioseguro.
  • I'm so glad that you guys like them. I will have to try more flavors, Marty. Where I live now, they think everything I eat is weird; they think I'm weird, as a matter of fact.
  • idk, I make a veggie smoothie with Sriracha in it. For some reason, it seems to take my appetite away for hours. If I have one in the morning when I get to work, I'm not really hungry until afternoon. Even then, I'm not that hungry. I don't know about the metabolism boost, but it quells my appetite quite nicely.
  • I'm in love with a veggie smoothie that I've been perfecting. Finally got it just right tonight: 1 lb tomatoes (beefsteak) 1 cup baby carrots 1 cup cucumber 1 cup red pepper 1.5 cup spinach 1.5-2 limes 1 cup low sodium veggie juice 1 oz sriracha (71 calories per cup) Two cups of this in the morning and I feel full a good…
  • SkinnyMiss, is the food diary about the same as this?
  • Hi Runngurl. I, myself, do not plan on paying for MFP. Lord knows there are enough that you have to subscribe and pay for. If they let this site deteriorate as some have suggested they will, then I guess it's back to sparkpeople for me, anyway. The advertisement pop-up, though, for the "premium" MFP is getting pretty darn…
  • Many medications can cause weight gain. There are several anti-depressants that do that. I wonder if it could be that these meds slow the metabolism down so much that it is almost impossible not to gain weight.
  • This is just wrong and unethical of the medical profession to withhold such vital information from patients. It's a wonder anybody trusts doctors anymore. If it hadn't have been for that radio talk show, I never would have known about it. Paxil just made me feel weird. Good luck getting off of it. How long will it take to…
  • Hi, Camo, I tried this one and it says the same thing as my scale.
  • Aha! Hmmm. I didn't know that. Then how do they measure body fat? Just wondering, because every diet/calorie count website has their own.
  • I do not know. It has been accurate with everything else. why are calipers wrong? I thought that was the gold standard?
  • I wonder if you might be interested in purchasing an Omron Fat Loss Monitor and Weight scale. I had my BF measured with calipers a few times during our health fairs and the scale matched exactly what the calipers said. So, I trust this scale.
  • Hey, elphie, I agree, mine does, too. It also had the "side effect" of allowing me to be a non-smoker. It's been over a year and I don't miss cigarettes at all.
  • Hi, Helj, I take Wellbutrin, have been for years. I have found no problems with it as far as inability to lose weight. There was a time years ago when I was prescribed Paxil - that stuff is horrible. I stopped taking it when I was listening to a talk show and caller after caller reported weight gains averaging 20-30…
