Your username makes me smile. I think in default-mode, I am related to a sloth. :) It doesn't mean we have to give in to that. It's up to you to make this shift and make it stick, but I will gladly be part of the support team.

I know people in the WLS business and I know unless the habits/way you interact with your own health change, even WLS tends to fail (at least in part). So I think it's a wise choice. Take stock, see what's going on inside. What habits need tweaking and all. This is a good place for that. Good luck.

My diary/blog is open. I am a 40yr old w/ 3 kids under 10. I am 5'1 (and 3/4, so I claim 2") and I want to get back down to 135ish, so 26 lbs to goal.

Here, too. Just turned 40. Hope that counts. Most recently got within 3 lbs of my goal weight at the end of August and whammo. Didn't watch what I was eating, stopped exercising and the holidays... and here I am.
