Yep! The BMI rating says I'm still obese! It also says I need to lose 40-85 pound to be a healthy weight.

This one is fricking amazing!!!

It wasn't until I was skinny in one of my dreams that I finally realized it. It was such a shock that it woke me up!

That is great! Way to go!

Yours too!!! Sometimes it is hard to be motivated by people you don't know personally because you imagine they have some crazy willpower or available time that you don't have. My biggest success with motivating people has been at work. They know me and know I'm nothing out of the ordinary. As I got closer to my current…

Thought this would be a better comparison picture. We should do a calendar promoting low carb.

These are the best two pictures I have on my new device. I'm down 100 pounds in roughly 14 months. 60 was just pure change in diet. 40 was a combination of diet and exercise. None of it was counting calories in / calories out, just aiming to keep carbs below 30 g a day. BTW, the bearded dragon is my daughter's and he is…

Hello! Like Dan the Man said everyone is nice in this group and a good place to ask advice on how to set this site up for our special needs.

This book is what lead me to lose 100 pounds! Everything in it made so much sense. There was also a documentary that pulls from this book heavily. It is called "Fathead" and a good watch. I think you can see the whole thing on YouTube. It is kind of the anti-Supersize Me.

I was just confused because I was reading about a body builders alternate version of the diet where you carb up once a week. It just seed counter to what else I was reading.

I agree with both "sugars" above. Keep yourself busy or go to bed. I am also an avid gum chewer who is trying to lower the number of sticks I go through a day. I finally counted on day and found I was adding 20-30 carbs to my intake a day.

I would recommend reading (or the audiobook) Gary Taubs Why We Get Fat (and What We Can Do About It). Gary was a science news writer who started digging into things and the book is the layman's version of his Book Good Calorie/Bad Calorie. It was the information I needed that made me say, "This makes a lot of sense so…

I am 41 and have lost 100 pounds with 35 more to go. I've stalled due to a knee soreness that started 5 months ago when I first started working out my legs. I've been to my family doctor and an arthopedic doctor who say there is no structural damage but I still can't get this thing to fully heal. It gets more sore the more…

Usually when I'm sick it throws my eating off and I am eating way less then I would normally so no point counting.

Baby!

Very current. Wouldn't want an old one.

Thanks everyone. Some examples would be that I could find mozzarella cheese low fat but not regular, or I couldn't find Oscar Meyer all beef hot dogs but just about every other brand of beef ones. What is the best way to search item? Do you start with the restaurant's or brand name first or put it at the end? I tried the…

Nothing? Wonder why.

Same thing here. Lost 100 pounds, just more recently, and kind of floundered since. Trying something new to see if it kicks. You can adjust the goals and nutrition settings to equal your weight loss style. That kept me from shutting this app off in the first couple of days.

By the time this posts the poster above me will likely not be the one I see now so in order to not confuse anyone and potentionally ruin any future political aspirations that I might have I need to whole heartedly state, "No comment."
