  • One of the reasons that I went after Keto when doing LC for a year was everyone was saying, "My mind was so clear!" It never happened for me so I stopped and went back to just LC. The problem was I was expecting it to be like Russell Crowe's character in A Beautiful Mind where I was making connections I never saw. That…
  • I must be in some serious sleep trouble. Even when it wasn't sensitive I was at around 75% and now at 50% with it. That equals between 2-3 hours a night. Overall it does seem to read my sleep and wake times accurately though. Even when I get up in the middle of the night or when I take a nap. Most of the sleep studies I've…
  • Sorry if I misguided you. I simply do the math mentally between the time it shows resting vs time it shows asleep.
  • I'm surprised this is an issue. I thought it was a universal law that "If Mom is on a Diet (WOE) EVERYONE is on a diet!" On the other hand if dad is on a diet he can do that craziness on his own!
  • I feel this is key with any kryptonite or any time someone falls off the wagon. Most of us are so used to inhaling our food we eat 8 cookies before we even taste the first one. If we take our time and savor each bite we can get all the enjoyment we want out of one cookie. Most of us got this way through mindless eating.
  • 1) look really good without a shirt on. 2) complete an Olympic length triathlon 3) be so damn sexy my wife can't help but want to put her hands on me. 4) to be skinny long enough so when my kids close their eyes and think of daddy, he is "fit daddy". 5) become a public speaker on how to change your life after doing the…
  • I wish my three kids were this well behaved!

  • If your library has access to Hoopla (library based system similar to Netflix , Kindle, and Audible.com rolled into one) it is available on there.
  • We pulled out the Wii for the first time in forever it seems and my daughters insisted I modify my Mii (generated likeness character) that I made 4 years ago to be skinny.

  • Thank you. I needed that today.
  • I chew Extra gum almost religiously as a way to steer off cravings and I was able to lose weight. I did do some research on natural guns and completely sugar free gums. They are out there and you'll likely need to order direct. They didn't look to appealing taste-wise but that doesn't seem to be your main goal.
  • Kudos to you for being able to swim that far to begin with! I don't think I've swam 6000 yards my whole life COMBINED! How long does that take you a day? That is some dedication my friends.
  • Yey! Someone else who calls it "pop"! Moved South 5 years ago and get the strangest looks. Pop was certainly my demon for years and I knew weight loss would not happen without kicking that habit. Once I did after 6 months I couldn't even sip it anymore. It the carbonation made it taste like battery acid.
  • This is a neat thread! Cool glimpse into people's personalities.
  • I'm 42, have three crumb snatchers, and prefer manicured nature.
  • Just to add a little to the mix from my own 100 pound weight loss. The WHOLE time I was losing weight (14 months following Gary Taubes Why We Get Fat book SOE) I was chewing Extra gum going through a pack a day totaling 30 grams of alcohol sugars per day. I was also drinking Crystal Light (about two gallons a day) which…
  • I have a batch of pictures I am trying to recreate but my family does want to cooperate. This spot is about an hour away and toon a while to find again.
  • Since everyone is talking about private areas I feel safe to talk about the fat around my "manhood". Now that I've lost 100 pounds it doesn't look like a hiding turtle anymore!
  • Non Scale Victory. They are those moments when you get a glimpse of how great you are doing (usually body size or health related) even though you might not be seeing progress on the scale. I find they tend to happen just when you need them to. They help encourage you to keep on because progress is being made.

  • A couple of years ago we had a truckload of mulch that I needed to spread around. I was only able to do 10-15 wheelbarrow full per day over 10 days. We had another truckload dumped today and I was able to spread it all out one ONE day. While fasting!

  • I've done the same with all notifications too. I log both ways so I can see the chart and to show people later on that it is not a constant straight line. But how about those people who post self-promoting links at the bottom of their posts. THAT annoys me!
  • Mine isn't a food but being tired. I lose my willpower as I will eat anything just to stay awake.
  • Sugar-Free gum was my solution.
  • I lost 100 pounds averaging about 1.5 per week but it wasn't constant. I would lose a good deal then plateau for 1-2 months. One thing that I run into when I see someone else who lost weight faster than me is that it causes me to doubt my achievement. "Why didn't I lose weight as fast as they did? Did they have more…
  • My wife and my rings slip off now so we've both switched them to our middle fingers. We are asked constantly if we are having marriage problems!

  • It is also an intimacy killer too since there is no sexy way to take off a CPAP mask. Unless your significant other has a Darth Vadar fetish.

  • On a side note: Does anyone else re-weigh themselves when you finally do go to the bathroom?
