  • I tried with no success.
  • I never thought to ask about adding a zipper. Thanks!! To answer a few other questions: I was about 140lbs when I bought it. 175 now. I bought the dress from a lady starting up her own bridal business, and brought it to a local shop for the hemming because they offered to do it for less than $100. (Yes I made sure they…
  • Thanks but it's already a corset back which makes my belly not the issue. It literally won't go over my "butt smile" when stepping into. :(
  • An inch or two around my hips. Maybe 10lbs? Give or take.
  • Can't make it larger. There's not enough time to order the fabric, if they can even find it, and we have a low budget. Thanks though.
  • My hardest time is in the evening as well. I have really bad impulse control so what works for me is to not have any snack foods in the house at all. If I need something for my sweet tooth I have to get dressed and leave the house (not likely) or settle for tea with honey.
  • I used a Fitbit Charge HR throughout my 70lb weight loss. I trusted the calories burnt and it worked out for me. I did weight training and HIIT. I gave it away to a family member and plan on buying a Garmin (when and if I can afford one) because I took up running and I would prefer a garmin for its gps. Good luck!
  • Here's a little back story: I've been lifting for about 2 years and lost 70lbs. Last summer I stopped exercising all together and ate like crap, resulting in gaining 12lbs back. Late august I decided to start running, just because I liked a route by our place and I needed different motivation. I had a base fitness already…
  • I've been lifting for over 2 years, basically doing the same thing sometimes I try a new exercise but im ALWAYS sore. It can last up to 2 days, so much so when my little Papillons walk on my thighs I cringe, lol. Never hurt myself though! It doesn't last more than 2 days.
  • I did all my cardio inside the gym for the past few years but just this last September I took up running. Already completed one half marathon and signed up for a second in feburary so I need to embrace the cold this year! IT can reach -40°C here, my plan is once it hits around -20 I'll take my short runs inside on the…
  • I guess I'm just trying to find the better of two evils so to speak. I loved Goodlife, spent 2 years there and lost most of my weight with them but then we moved and now my fiance needs our vehicle for work. Basically my options; The Y is free and a 30 min walk. ("Dungeon") The one I'm going to now (Snap) is a 15 min walk…
  • I hold the bar on my back. :) I'll see if the bench press can be raised like SonyaCele said and go from there. I've never tried gobet squats, I'll give them a try!
  • I never thought about that. I can lift about 50lbs up over my head but can do 100lb squats. I am doing a free trial right now but perhaps I'll go back to the dimly lit dungeon feeling gym. At least they have a rack. Lol. Thanks!
  • Edit: I wrote a lot but it didn't get posted... ? I don't want to re-write it all. :/ I'm from winnipeg too.
  • The one and only food I cannot control myself around is ice cream. If I want a treat I'll go to an ice cream shop and get a single serve. Just this past Sunday I thought I could be strong and bought a 1.5L Oreo red velvet from the grocery store. It was gone by Monday night. (My fiance only had one bowl...) I just cannot…
  • I used the Fitbit Charge HR. It would track your biking. I hear people say all the time how it isn't accurate but paired with counting calories here I lost 70lbs and I used the Fitbits calorie burn. I loved it! (Gave it to a family member last spring.)
  • I understand how you feel! I fell off the wagon this summer and gained 12lbs of the 70 I've lost. I thought I could keep it off without mfp but I guess I was wrong, lol. I suggest doing something you're proud of that doesn't involve weight. For example, I may have gained over 10lbs but I also ran a half marathon 4 weeks…
  • Thank you I'll look into strong lifts. I also do lots of walking, I hit 10k steps daily at work. :)
  • I would like to have low body fat and have visible abs if only for one summer. :) Otherwise gain muscle and loose fat, which I understand can't be done at the same time. I don't have any interest in competing. (Right now anyways.)
  • 5'4 as well, 24 years old. I am currently trying to break a platue and I'm sitting between 129-132lbs. I started at 195. I'll keep going until I feel comfortable! I've been using mfp for 300 days today and just cleaned out my friends list so if you post every day I'd love you to add me. :)
  • The hardest part for me is weighing everything! It's so tedious and gets so annoying.
  • Don't quote me on this but I heard the slower you loose weight the better your body will be able to repair your skin so it isn't saggy. If this is incorrect please feel free to correct me. :)
  • I always track. If I go out to eat my cheat meal I always estimate and on the high side. I recently had a SMALL slice of pie at work and I wanted to input 800 calories but my co-worker said my slice was no more than 350. I logged 400. You see my point in over estimating. It has worked for me!
  • That's exactly how I felt. I was a size 3 coming into my 20s, then I went up to a size 5 and thought I was extremely huge. I think I would tell myself the same as you, that I was far from fat. I think in regards to gaining weight I would tell myself that as a female I CANNOT eat the same portion sizes as my fiance, who by…
  • Hello, I am from Manitoba, Canada and I am an Early Childhood Educator. This job is so rewarding. I've lost 59lbs and I have had parents consistently asking me how I did it and what tools I've used. :)
  • Attention isn't always a good thing. Obviously it depends on the person but... the other day I had a guy hit on me and I'm the type of person who gets very uncomfortable in those situations so I just flashed my ring and he backed off. Sure, it's nice but not what I am looking for. If that's what you want good luck you'll…
  • I've never really liked soda in the first place, with the exception of root beer but when I DO go out to eat I will get a regular root beer or iced tea. I personally do not want to put aspartame in my body. I'd rather have the calories. I think it's all personal preference.
  • I would love to stock up on more friends. ;) My name is Shannara, I am 23 and live in Canada. I've lost 59lbs and have 11lbs to go. I'm not going to quit using mfp when I reach my goal, I plan on using it to maintain and maybe in the future try to build more muscle mass. I would prefer female friends with open diaries.…
  • Hello! I don't live close to you but our goals are about the same. I've lost 59lbs with another 11lbs to go. I too work in a school but in a daycare so it's a bit different. Can you bring fitness to work? Maybe take the kids outside and run or skip rope with them? One of the teachers in the school I work in takes his music…
