Thank you for the detailed reply. Yeah, I guess it comes down to the individual person as no one answer or training program fits all. I guess I'll have to try out different options and see what works for me. Keep this thread alive, its a goldmine of information!

Can I ask you if you do any cardio exercises? You mentioned upthread that you are not a big fan of running. Right now I am struggling with a similar situation. I love to run but I am getting injured ever so often. So, I have to rethink about how to get my cardio in.

Yeah, I like it fresh out of the tree too! And, you are right, there are different varieties of coconuts. Some varieties are harvested just for the water. Totally to die for!

Like @augustremulous said fresh coconut water is absolutely amazing! It tastes nothing like the bottled crap which they pass off as coconut water.

They are having some great offer on Hokas at store. I may try them out!

Yessss... Kayanos! My bad!! Yes I do pronate. The shoe store offers free gait analysis and they suggested the Kayanos.

I run on the treadmill as there are no running trails around in my area. The alternative to the treadmill are pavements.

Thanks! A trip to the shoe store is on the cards for tomorrow then! Fervently hoping that changing my shoes will work! Will report back.

[quote From that info, I would say the first things to look into are your shoes. Then, maybe the treadmill surface (running on the wrong treadmill always seems to hurt my joints). When my shoes hit their limits, my knees are usually the first to feel it. How long have you had them, and how did you choose them?
My…

Yes.. I have heard good things about foam rolling, I should start that. I make sure I stretch after my run. I am very particular about it. I think I should look into getting a new pair of shoes. Mine look pretty beat up!

Well.. I restarted running again in mid~ Jan after a break of 20 days during Christmas. . I run thrice a week on alternate days. I run for 30 mins~ 40 mins at 5.5 speed on the treadmill. .
I usually store all the recipes in my email /notepad and just copy the ingredients (or modifications) from there to the new recipe in MFP ...still not completely hassle free but slightly better... If you already have a better way please share...:)
Priya, I was thinking of doing the same. I have been…

If you like Indian food, I have a recipe for you. This is very easy to make. Throw in half an onion, ginger& garlic paste, 1 small tomato, garam masala according to your taste, turmeric (optional) into a blender and grind to a paste. Saute in a lil oil and season with salt. Add chicken pieces of your choice (I prefer dark…

I was wondering if any of you find it a hassle/chore to make entries in your food diary. I make so many different dishes or tweak some of my regular dishes ,that entering them all becomes a massive headache. How do you all do it?

Hi! A fellow Indian here. Want to join the grp if you have one going!

Lets see....ginger, garlic, cumin, coriander, mustard, chilli, turmeric, pepper, fennel, cardamom, clove, cinnamon...all I can say in my defence is that I'm an Indian!

Drop in a clove or two while boiling. A tip from my MIL who has been making forever now!

Thank you @AnvilHead . I know, I know! I have lurked around the forums long enough to know that bulking up for women is hard esp. in calorie deficit. But it is sooo frustrating, all my other bits ands bobs are shaping up nicely except for my saddle bags. I think it has to do with my genes. My mum who is and always has been…

Thank you chocochip13 for your reply. I am quite frustrated coz I have lost weight from my butt, stomach and legs leaving my saddle bags intact in all their glory. I just want to know if these will reduce or go sometime in the future if I keep exercising.

Though not exactly peanut buttery tasting, there is a savoury~sweet peanut chutney/powder in Indian cuisine. Totally yummy! Can be had over hot rice and ghee, on dosas or on hot chappatis! Drooool!

Thank you so much for the reply. I knew I could get solid answers from you! I am glad to report back that I 've lost 2 more kgs in the meantime and I've started lifting weights. I feel awesome! Oh, btw, I also changed my doc as she kept pushing me to try the HCG diet. Thanks again!

Long time lurker, first time poster here. I know I'll get some solid and reliable answers here. I am a 39 yrs, 4'11 woman. My highest weight has been 70kgs. I have been diagonised with hypertension in Jan and my doc thinks my weight is the main culprit here. Since Jan I have lost 5 kgs and see a lot of inch loss. But my…
