I got round this by buying a cups measuring set available in every supermarket in the country in the cooking section. cost 2 quid :)

this. I went from 2 sugars to 1 then 1/2 then nothing over a month. Over the years at 5 or 6 cups a day that's a lot of sugar not going into me. The problem is people expect drinks to be sweet when there's no real need for them to be. They need to be wet, thats all.

I embarrass myself every time I go! My local gymn is attached to a school and I'm 48! 99% of the people are under 20 and already fit. but... they don't care how fat and old I am. The guy who helped you probably forgot all about it in 2 minutes. You should do the same.

Wow! Fantastic achievement! Please post photos once you've had the surgery. I will need it once I reach my goal and am interested in your outcome. I've lost about 100 lb with 70lb to go not as fast as you but am also older (48) so I don't think the skin will recover well. Thanks for the inspiration☺

Actually fitting in seat made for the public. :) I can sit anywhere in pubs, aeroplanes, cinemas, the football without having to find a large chair without arms so I can sit down in comfort.

Going for a walk helps me. I think the physical activity helps mental strains from dominating your mind as it is a distraction. Well said . I had a friend who had the gastric bypass and lost over 150 lb in a year. I used to go a watch soccer with him , and over the week's he looked more and more haggard. So true. I live 3 minutes walk from my local shop, not far enough. So whenever I go there I walk round the block on the way taking 15 minutes. Walk the short way back with shopping bags though. ;)

Try tomato juice. It's half the sugar content with more vitamins. Try half as much and sip it. I found with juices and such people have got used to slinging it down their knecks like water because they always were told it was healthy. You can do that with water, for when your thirsty, but savour every other drink like it…

Get lasered. I got mine done 10 years ago and havn't regretted it a second. It cost me 1000GBP so it's cost effective. Before that I would pay for new prescription pair every 2 years since I was 7 . It's so much better not wearing them.

I wouldn't worry about the core. Probably about 5 calories at most.
