Losing 225 lbs is GREAT success. You may wish to consult a dietician for the safest ways to lose the rest. If you have a lot of extra skin, you also may want to think about it being surgically removed (if you can afford it; insurance will sometimes cover skin removal if it's considered medically necessary).…

Thank you, I saw them. Great job! :)

Excellent work! B)

90 lbs is awesome! Your losses do slow down, but there is a good chance you'll lose the remaining 60 lbs this year as long as you keep working it. I'd love to see your pics!

There's a huge difference between the two photos. I love the red/pink dress!

I would love to have a stomach that looks like yours! You look great.

-10 kilos is a great first month! Great job!

A high-quality protein powder can be a good meal substitute, especially when mixed with fruit and a little peanut butter. Some people will use ff milk to mix with. I use water. I have them 2-3 times a week.

Congrats on the weight loss!

Like! B) For a meal like that, I would plan about a week ahead to bank the cals ... but if it's something you do once in a while, it does not hurt to enjoy yourself :) You may decide to go with the lighter meal once you're there, but the important thing is that you enjoy yourself :)

I have to chime in on this too -- I am 53, hypothyroid, had a total hysterectomy 13 years ago, and I am still losing weight at 1500-1600 calories a day. Because of my knee I have been working out only 2x a week. If I ate only 1200 cals a day I would be hungry and cranky all of the time ;). The weight will indeed come off…

Hi, I had lapband back in 2005 and lost about 85 lbs over the next couple of years. I have gained a lot of it back so that's why I'm here :) Good luck with your upcoming surgery! The band will definitely help with volume eating, but the weight will come back if you are not watching what you're eating. Beware of soft,…

It's tough when there is no support at home. You can add me too :)

Thank you everyone! Of course I don't expect to lose 8 lbs every week, and don't want to anyway. I'm glad that water bloat is gone! I didn't want to get too aggressive at first and set my goals to lose 1 lb per week, so I'm definitely expecting it to slow down as time goes on. I like to eat, so I am not going to reset…

OMG I bet your mom makes yummy meals! :D I agree that you should copy some of her meals and weigh whatever ingredients she puts in them, and then adjust the ingredients so they fit your caloric goals. No-one is offended, and you're still able to maintain control of your food.

Amazing transformation!

Since I have a desk job I would qualify as sedentary. However, at lightly active my goal is 1660 a day ... I am sure it'll be around 1200 at the sedentary level. I will starve at 1200 cals a day. It's hard enough not being hungry at 1660. However, when I weigh myself on Monday I'll see how my progress has gone. Hopefully…

I get the sugar-free french vanilla "Mini-Ids" for my coffee -- they are 20 calories apiece and I put just one in, instead of 2 or 3. My creamer is one thing I'm not willing to let go yet. I won't as long as I can fit them into my daily calorie allotment.

Congrats on losing the 60!

I feel it's important to take that initial pic, whether it's posted or not. When you reach goal it's all the sweeter when you see how far you've gone! B)

I weigh myself every monday morning before breakfast.

Wow, you have a beautiful physique! Great job :)

Your success is amazing! How tall are you? Our "heavy" builds are quite similar, as well as our ages (I am 53). Your "after" shots are stunning. Thank you so much for sharing your inspiring story! <3
