Hello and congratulations on your little one. My baby is four months old and I am exclusively breastfeeding. I agree with others in that its best to wait until baby is two months old. I add on 500 calories as pee the NHS and try to stay at around 1700 a day but if I am hungry I do go over. Also make sure you drink lots. I…

Are you weighing your food? I found that it really helped me. I also get extremely hungry sometimes so I do go over my calories. This is my second time bf too and I have found the weight easier to shift than with my first so maybe its different with each baby. I think tiredness doesn't help dieting as I tend to make bad…

I am bf my four month old and logging with no problems with supply. As others have said make sure you are drinking lots. Is your baby not satisfied after feeding? I am just curious as to how you know you are making less. Maybe baby is a very effective feeder and your supply might have just settled? I have been told in the…

I am exclusively breastfeeding my 14 week old baby and I add 500 extra calories as this is what the NHS claim I will burn a day. I have 1700 a day which works really well but if I am hungry I do tend to go over (especially when baby has a growth spurt) As your little one is much older now and not feeding as much then would…

I would absolutely love my 14 week old to sleep that long! Like you I have lost a lot of weight since having my baby (21lbs) and I think its mainly down to breast feeding :) This app has been a real eye opener as to how much sugar I eat and has helped me cut back.

The NHS says an exclusively breastfeeding mother will burn around 500 calories a day so I have personally set myself a goal of 1700 to lose 2lbs a week. I would say that you could add an extra 250 calories a day and just see how it goes. Good luck :)

Well done and keep it up :D you are nearly there!

I also add on 500 calories for breastfeeding

I spoke to a lactation consultant about my diet yesterday and she said as long as its a healthy balanced diet which it is then there is no problem at all with what I am doing. I also asked about affecting milk supply and she explained that I would have to be very malnourished in order for it to be affected. I must say that…

The NHS say you burn 500 calories a day exclusively breastfeeding so I have created an exercise for this and logged it. My baby is 12 weeks old and so far I have lost 16lbs just breastfeeding. I have another 20 to go and lose about 1-2lbs a week. I try to keep to 1700cals a day and I am not hungry on that many which is…
