You look amazing and congratulations on the weight loss! :) Even though you can't spot reduce fat you can focus on strengthening specific areas with lifting. That way, the zones you are concerned about become "hard" as opposed to "heavy." Only my opinion but I think that would be my plan. Either way, great work.

Why wouldn't a heart rate monitor be accurate? I'm kind of struggling with this same problem. I want to figure out how many calories I burn lifting and was thinking a heart rate monitor was really the best way.

My absolute favorite one is definitely a protein shake versus a smoothie but I use Syntha-6 Chocolate Peanut butter flavor protein powder, half a banana, some extra PB2, large handful of spinach, soy milk and ice. It would be a meal replacement but it really tastes like a Sonic milkshake. :)

Absolutely move past it and don't beat yourself up over it either!! I feel like if we are eating healthy 80%-90% of the time, the we deserve a "cheat" day. It's just about a healthy lifestyle...not about never eating cookies and ramen again! :)

I'm brand new to this but would love to find some friends on here! Also considering getting a fitbit. I got one for my mom for Christmas and she loves it.

I second Chia seeds. They can be added to almost anything. I mix 2 tbsp of chia seeds and a scoop of vanilla protein into my yogurt and it's an awesome high fiber, high protein snack or breakfast. I use Spectrum Essentials Chia seeds. One tbsp has 60 cals, 4g carbs, 4g fiber and 2g protein.
