BINGED YESTERDAY... Quick question!

Just wondering something... I ate two cookies yesterday, a big bowl of ramen, and really fatty milkshake for dinner... I overbinged myself and yesterday was one of the most miserable days this year.. Anyways, I'm back to my clean eating mode now, but I was wondering that will yesterday's diet make me gain weight/become fat today, or if I eat less today will it substitute?
Thanks :)

just forget about it and keep going, we can't undo the past but you can chose what to do tomorrow

You can eat less today if you want to even it out a bit, I often eat less if I've overeaten the day before or know I will do the day after. Obviously don't starve yourself, but it's fine to carry calories across days a bit. But sometimes it's just easier to write it off and carry on as normal the next day.

Unless you ate close to or over 3,500 over your maintenance in that one day, I wouldn't even worry about it... Don't make it a habit and you should be relatively okay

Absolutely move past it and don't beat yourself up over it either!! I feel like if we are eating healthy 80%-90% of the time, the we deserve a "cheat" day. It's just about a healthy lifestyle...not about never eating cookies and ramen again! :)

I think her ticker says increase 6 kgs. She seems to be working on it.

Ditto. Two cookies and a milkshake is NOT a binge.

You don't sound like you have a healthy relationship with food. Please seek professional help.

I'm not going to assume that

    True

I did try to look and see where this binge was on her diary. It was not there. So there might be some bad relationships with food going on here.

No, it's a loss ticker ... a 6kg loss is her aim, which would put her at 85 pounds (39kg).

    OP, please seek professional help.

There are -3 and -6kg on her ticker. How is a negative a loss ticker?

okay first of all, im sorry for the incomplete diary, cause i didn't log myself at all. I just want to know about the qeustion thats all, lol. So don't base anything on my ticker, or my diary, or whatever I wrote like months ago. :)
And I dont' have a food relationship problem guys, I'm fine. Thank you though.

And oops, 39 kg is way too less.. I usually measure in kgs, but I don't know why the hell I wrote in pounds... I aim for 45 kg, from 50 kg. I have small bones as well, so please, don't judge in here xx

I looked at her profile too. No logging, and the ticker is for losing 6kg (13 lbs). I didn't see the 45kg the first time I looked, so yeah, 99 lbs and wanting a loss of 13 more pounds...NOT healthy.

OP please talk to a doctor.

Thanks for the concern! I might be too extreme when I wrote everything 'cause I was too frustrated, PLEASE IGNORE IT :) I knew there would be people here criticizing me for this, but seriously bone density and figure and genetics are different in everyone, so can we please just let go of the goals? It's different for everyone, and trust me I have reasonable fat to lose. I really do appreciate all the "please talk to the doctor" thing though.

It's all about trends, not days. It takes 3500 calories beyond the number you burned between your BMR and any exercise you did to gain a pound.

Woah...you consider 2 cookies, a bowl of ramen, and a milkshake a binge, even an OVERBINGE? I've been doing this all wrong....

Seriously, though, it can be tempting to try to "make up" the calories by overrestricting, but that just sets you up for failure. Just return to your regularly scheduled calorie restriction.

Well you said your answer already. You said you are very sure you did not eat above 3500 calories over maintenance. Also others had said log it and move on. Also high sodium levels will retain water which will show on the scale the next few days.

Now for the other response people are caring enough to bring something to your attention because we feel there might be something there.

If your profile is incorrect, you should fix it.

You asked a question and we have all answered it based on the available information. Not one person is being judgmental or critical. We are ALL concerned based on what you posted as your question and the information available on your profile. Most of us believe you may have an unhealthy relationship with food. You are the only one who knows for sure, but based on your profile info, I submit that our concern is quite valid.

Again, please talk to a doctor. Tell him/her about your past history of over-exercising, eating below 800 calories per day, your current weight, your goal weight. And then work out a plan between the both of you if he/she agrees that you can lose another 6 kg and still be healthy.
