  • So basically you buy nothing that comes in a box or plastic.. You can save money buy purchasing frozen fruits and veggies (they don't go bad), and over time you will spend less money due to the overall costs of packaging. I eat clean, and for me this means: veggies, animal protein, vegetable protein (seeds and nuts), fats,…
  • Fair enough... By sugar I really meant refined sugar (or sugar from unnatural sources). For me, the benefits of eating fruit out weighed the negatives. Much like, how someone people can eat foods with yeast and others (like me) can't. Best. - J
  • There are roughly 31 grams of protein in 100 gram boneless skinless chicken breast .. Add an additional (plain) chicken breast as a snack. As for protien powder, Lots of people use them, but they are packed with artificial ingredients and are super processed (as you mentioned above). If you are trying to cut out all…
  • I personally cut out sugar because it was really effecting my health in a negative way (restlessness, binging, carb cravings, sleep issues, sluggishness, etc. etc.) When I stopped eating sugar, I cut out all processed foods, I cut out all sweets and chocolate, I stopped adding sugar to my coffee (I eventually cut out…
  • Not on my fitness pal but I store it in the notes section on my phone. Also, are you doing an elimination diet? That is the best way to find out what you are sensitive to (or at least it was for me).
  • You begin by not eating processed food... When I stopped eating sugar, I cut out all processed foods, I cut out all sweets and chocolate, I stopped adding sugar to my coffee (I eventually cut out caffeine too), I cut out alcohol, I cut out all yeast (even nutritional yeast), and I cut out all refined or processed…
  • Best recipe ever: Cococilantro smoothie: 1 heaping handful of spinach 1 small handful of cilantro 1/2 - 1 frozen banana 1/2 cup frozen mango or pineapple 8-10 oz of coconut water Optional - flaxseed, chia seeds (rinsed and soaked), head of romain, etc. etc. Also, my cheap blender handles this recipie with ease... However…
  • Depending on what you order, you probably will be fine at either location (with some modifications) ... I would absolutely 100% steer clear of smoothies at either location (nutritionally they are off the charts) Personally, save the money (over time) and the calories... Juice from home :)
  • @theworldofjel13‌ have you ever thought about cutting out refined sugar from your diet completely? Maybe by making a drastic change it will help to control cravings! Just a thought.
  • Altering my diet in a radical way drastically changed my life, seriously... As for the incoherent nonsense, I guess I should proof read.... Bottom line, I was just trying to help someone asking for advice, and this obviously isn't the forum. Best of luck @mackenzierain, I hope you find what works for you :)
  • Personally instead of a cheat meal I try not to deprive myself... By eating whole fresh and nutritious food that satisfies me has helped WAY more than trying to eat one slice of pizza or a cookie!
  • You have to try an avocado on the half shell, with some oil and balsamic where the pit used to be with some salt and pepper... It is amazing
  • http://www.hailmerry.com/miracle-tarts The coconut one is REALLY tasty but they have other flavors: Here are the specs for the coconut one: 1/2 is ~210 calories ingredients include: shredded coconut, coconut oil, maple syrup, coconut water, raw almond flour, palm sugar, vanilla, and sea salt.... It is definitely a treat…
  • I agree with @jennifer_417 .. Drink some water and go for a walk or a bike ride (or something else that you enjoy). Tomorrow is a new day!
  • I tried it at one point, and it was gross... Super processed and it tastes horrible. I think you are much better off eating whole fresh foods that are good for you and keeping track of your calories.
  • If I was you @kekagel I would buy an inexpensive blood glucose monitor, and track your blood sugar for a few days... then you will have some data to bring to your doctor.
  • SO I eat vegetables, fruit, and animal protein (mainly bison, lamb, and some fish (but in limited quantities). My diet is a classic paleo/ketogenic diet folks... nothing new (except for the exclusion of eggs which can cause inflammation in SOME people). And for the record I exercise 5 days a week, and ski between 3-5 days…
  • I love my Fitbit but I use it as a glorified pedometer... I would suggest removing the calories burned all together from the app (its in accurate). I like the sleep functionality but I don't know how accurate it is. Regardless... Once integrated with the the myfitnesspal app its is a great additional tool to have in your…
  • I find that periodically juice fasting (smoothies, cold pressed juices, bone broth, bieler broth, and raw or lightly steamed vegetables) is a great way to get yourself back on track especially after a binge. Granted, I already eat an EXTREMELY clean diet (no gluten, dairy, soy, eggs, caffeine, alcohol, corn, refined sugar,…
