Thank you again for all the help and advice you've all given me. All of it will be good for thought over the next few weeks, months and possibly years on my journey to getting towards my goal. Look what I found and zero calories too! :) Oh and if anyone would like to add me as friend on here it would be awesome. :)

I love green and blacks Maya chocolate and Lindt 85% dark chocolate. I love dark chocolate depth of flavour, I'm always looking for really nice dark chocolate! I want to try pana chocolate at some point it looks delicious. X
-
Ooh I've always wanted to try that! There's a local shop that sells loads of yogi tea I'll have to go hunting. Bah I miss Ghiradelli chocolate I love the peppermint bark.

I'll be honest me and milk based stuff don't get along sometimes I'm ok and other times I get bloating just like when I eat gluten. Thanks for the ideas though. I used to drink options about 10 years ago but then I got into the habit of using cocoa powder just to get a better cocoa hit. I gave up drinking quite awhile(not…

Y Yep I've tried carob it's ok but it doesn't compare I think I'd rather have a low calorie hot chocolate or something(and I'm not mad keen on them either)Your cocoa recipe sounds nice, I'll have to give that a try. ;)

I think going for smaller packages of chocolate rather than splitting a large bar(and potentially eating all of it)is the way to do. Just learn to savour it like you said. :)
-
Yea that's what I'm going to do, just eat occasionally just for its benefits oh and that's it's delicious! :)
-
I've heard of cherymoya but never actually seen a picture. Not sure I could but them in UK(well not where I live but I'll have a look) thanks :)
-
I love love green and blacks I will have to do some research ha! ;)
-
I realise that now! I just got into my head when I made this post that chocolate was just really quite bad for me. :)
-
Oh man I used to love those! I'll have to keep my eyes peeled for some! :)

I guess because I feel I should be eating something more healthy, that chocolate is empty calories. I really want to lose weight and I just can't see how eating chocolate will allow me to achieve that. I'm thinking whilst I'm writing here lol. Maybe I'm just thinking about chocolate all wrong though. I mean the way to lose…

Yep I do that, just minus the protein powder! I like a banana and a little bit of peanut butter in with mine. I tried it with rice milk this morning and it was still pretty good! :)

Thanks for the advice. :) I'll be going back to mindful meditation, that helped a lot.

My calorie allowance is 1825. I'm still figuring out the whole micro nutrients stuff, at the moment I'm just eating pretty much what I ate before and I'm still under every day. I'd like to eat chocolate as a chore!!! xD
-
Yep I get stressed and I eat some chocolate. That's it really. I don't eat bars and bars and bars of it just a small amount of the period of time that I'm stressed. Incidentally I don't go over my calorie allowance when I do ;)
-
Ha thank you that's good advice. I haven't even bought any chocolate this week as I've not really wanted any. Last week I ate 3 amounts of chocolate over the weekend, one dark and two milk. However I did have a stressful weekend, (no excuse I know) but eating chocolate is lot less harmful to my body than drinking alcohol…

Thanks for this post, I got sick of all the people saying "omg I'll start drinking diet Pepsi now!" I'll just stick to drinking water as I think the OP has been paid to post here ha!

Processed food is good that is manufactured in a factory. All the foods that you see in the supermarkets that are packaged, tinned etc. Home made apple sauce is home made, no preservatives are added to help its shelf life. https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Convenience_food

All this chocolate talk is making my hungry! Thank you everyone for replying to my post. I had the realisation the other night that losing weight is a slow progress and addressing my food issues is something I need to do along the way. As a kid I was always made to eat everything on my plate and now as an adult I find it…

I definitely prefer dark chocolate over milk chocolate and the bitter the better. I get milk chocolate because it's just there but yea I agree it's just not as nice and it doesn't always hit the spot. I like the way chocolate melts on my tongue and my brain like the seratonine producing effects it gives.

When I have cocoa powder it doesn't seem to set off a craving for more chocolate. I had a frozen banana, peanut butter and cocoa smoothie for breakfast(just a tsp of cocoa). Can I ask do you have a few squares of chocolate a day?
-
Frozen yoghurt isn't a big thing in the UK, I can only seem to find fruit ones. Although I did see a coconut and chocolate ice cream, so coconut milk based. I just thought "irk calories" lol.

Thanks I'll check out the website. I have weakness for Twirls(not sure if you can these in the states)and I do love dark chocolate. :)
-
I I figured that would be the outcome, my dad pretty much said that to me. I never used to be that bothered about chocolate but as I've gradually stopped doing other things that help have helped with relaxing(like drinking). I think my body has hooked onto chocolate. I'll just be cutting it out for the foreseeable future…
-
Yea I agree with what your saying but to get to that place I think I may have to learn to live without for awhile to get to break the cycle. I'll have a think on a low calorie alternative.
-
I've seen chocolate tea but I was skeptical. What brand do you drink? The chocolate in the freezer sounds like a great idea. :)
-
I I don't have issues where I compulsively eat it, just when I'm feeling stressed the urge is hard to resist. Evenings is the worse to be honest. I don't drink or smoke so I guess my mind sees it as a relaxant. Ooh chocolate almonds sound nice, I have been trying to sub chocolate with nuts which has helped because at least…

A healthier substitute that isn't chocolate but(will hopefully)help me ween myself off chocolate.
