I have a Garmin Vivosmart and love it it syncs with my phone and my fitness Pal....but I never eat back those calories....it is just helpful to gauge how much i walk or if I need to move my butt more.

You can add me---we have same goal weight!

....you NEVER know what another person is going through. I remember in high school, one of my fellow students had brain cancer and all the medications made her body blow up...looking at her after the meds...you would think she was just obese. But, no, these powerful drugs that were trying to kill the cancer in her also…

^What she said. I would add...that I found it a little easier to lose weight when my dr added Cytomel to my Synthroid dose. I still have to work really hard to lose weight but I am now seeing results. Might be worth bringing up to your endocrinologist. Feel free to add me if you want too--always love to support fellow…

your friends don't sound like good "friends" to me. Drop em....You are better off. I really question why any person would say such a thing to another person unless it was self-fulfilling. Maybe they are jealous of your beauty?

Hi there! I am hypo as well (but I have Hashi's)....it has been a roller coaster ride with my levels but I am feeling pretty good right now taking Synthroid and Cytomel combination. It is a lot harder to lose weight but I know that my levels have never been in the optimal range so maybe that will get easier. Right now, I…

I believe you---I am the same. I have lost 8 lbs in 9 weeks....I can only lose at 1200 a day regardless of exercise. (Actually, with exercise/weights 5 days a week!) Not everyone is the same. Great job on your loss!! I can only hope to be as successful:)

Good for you for getting on MFP and getting committed to making changes. I am right there with you....was diagnosed with Hashi's several years ago. My meds change at every appt as they have not found my optimal levels of hormones yet. I take synthroid and cytomel. I have been on here for 7 weeks and have only lost 6 lbs.…

Hi there..another hypothyroid (Hashimoto's) person here! I was diagnosed about 4 years ago and my medications have changed at every single appt. They cannot seem to get me in an optimal range (where weight loss will be a bit easier, I am told.) right now on Synthroid (125) and Cytomel (10). I eat 1200 calories a day and do…

This is what I looked like at 20. Back when I didn't understand that sometimes life is not black and white. I thought, if you eat less you lose....everyone is the same...... I have learned a lot in the past few years....
