I'm 5'2", 37, trying to lose 70 lbs, am at just over 1400 daily losing .5 lb per week. I tried going for 1 lb per week, but the calories were so low I was becoming cranky, starving, and depressed. I am doing decently well on 1400. Some days I do feel hungry, so I allow myself to go over a little. I usually grab a medium…

"That is because ml are liquid and grams are weight. They do not convert. Please make your best guess. It will be o.k." Yeah, that's the issue I'm running into. Not being able to figure this out is peeving me off. Ok, not really, but gah, why can't the label be in weight, not liquid measurement? Who measures ice cream as a…

President's choice brand ice cream- I'm in Canada. I've never seen anything except ml measurement (and of course cups) here for icecream. I may just 'guess' how much I had lol.
-
It has mls with the serving amount. I have no idea how to convert grams to mls with ice cream lol.

Yeah, using what inputs I could find, it said I burned over 2k calories. That cannot be right lol. My daily activity level is one 20 minute walk, and that's about it. I have no idea how I physically did this today, I'm going to pay for it.

I have a very eclectic music taste, so anything from the Prodigy, to Rammstein, to 90s pop, but right now I'm very hooked on Carmina Burana, and Ride of the Valkyries.
-
Thank you everyone! I went with tomato soup, couldn't do the crackers lol. I am feeling much better today :)
-
Oh yeah, my bad day is over :) My RA will always be with me, I'll always have it, and hopefully the bad days are few and in between!

Thanks for the tip about just finding something close in the data base. Major brain fart for not thinking about that!
-
I will remember this if needed.

He's been checked, and every couple of years has it rechecked. His thyroid is just on the low side of normal, but still in normal range. The last one was 0.8 TSH. He had protein mixes in between every meal in high school, he can't look at the things now. We do focus mostly on healthy foods, but he's a junk snacker, and…

I don't think I could handle deep fried anything every day. Should I just guess on what I enter into my diary? I'm not really fretting over it, I just have no clue what to enter.
-
I only deep fry about once a month, sometimes even less. I can see why trying to figure out calories would turn people off of it! It's almost always zucchini fritters. I just need to have them every now and then lol. I like that idea of weighing before and after, I will experiment the next time I make them, and see what…

Carmina Burana by Carl Orff. Requiem for a Dream by Clint Mansell. Ride of the Valkyries by Wagner. Yes, I have odd taste in work out music. Also- yusaku02 has a great one listed that I didn't think anyone listened to anymore. Dethklok FTW.

Yeah, I'm going to take the easy road out and blame the bag of chips on my husband lol. He needs to bulk in a serious way- he's 6'2" and 125 lbs. Has been that height/weight since high school graduation 18 years ago. We buy all sorts of high calorie crap for him, and he consumes it all, (he eats an entire box of pop tarts…
-
I can shake them off. I've just never consumed THAT many potato chips in one sitting before lol.
-
That nuts were my downfall. It's rude how many calories are in peanuts lol.

I know I'm late to this, and I do not know if it has been covered- I did not read every single reply as I've spent an hour looking up preservatives, but please, don't be afraid of propyl gallate mentioned way back on page 1. It's not banned everywhere except the US (I actually can't find a country that it is banned in),…

anti gmo fear mongering. Seriously. People have the internet, and choose to ignore actual research in favour of lies that can be so easily debunked. I rage on comment sections. The stupidity, it burns!
-
Thank you for the tip Lrdoflamancha! I will see if I can find some forums like that :)
-
We are keeping a careful eye on that, thank you for mentioning it. That's a really rare side effect that most people do not know about.

That's what I did for the last two nights :) I'm going to try aps on the route that I know the exact distance on, and use the one that's closest for going other places. I just got an ithinger, I'm excited to use it!
-
Thanks to you both! I'll check out your recommendations :)
-
Ok, I tried another ap, and it said the same thing for distance- twice as far as I actually went. Does anyone know of an accurate ap?
-
I logged the 90, that seems correct. I'm happy with that.
-
Ok, I pulled out my paper map, and measured with a ruler. *If* I did this right, I walked just over 1 km, not 2.39? I then poked around on google maps, it agrees with my paper and ruler. Bah. Why would the app be off by that much? It shows where I walked, and it's correct. I'm not really stressing over this, I am losing…

I'm also suspicious of the ap thing I used, I am new to all of this technology stuff. It did take me just over 15 minutes according to my house clock, but I'm thinking the distance is off. I have rheumatoid arthritis- I can manage a brisk walk at best.
-
Yeah, I can't figure out which option MFP gives me to use haha. messing around with all of them, they are nowhere near what the calculator Heybales linked to is telling me. I'm confused, but I refuse to give up.

I'd actually LOVE to be able to do that math, I just.... can't. I'm working on it.
