I'm not really following the macros, other than I want around 150 carbs a day. This is because I gained 45 lbs last pregnancy and I'm worried about that.

Are you not working out? Are you pretty short? Your calories seem pretty low. Mind you, I'm pregnant and breastfeeding right now.

This is an awesome plan. Before I was pregnant, I was good and strict. Now that in pregnant, I'm ravenous. It's really hard for me to stay under my goal. I've had horrible sweets cravings. Maybe if I had 2 days where I was able to indulge, it would help.

That's crazy. In Canada it's recommended you eat 340 extra calories in the 2nd and 450 extra in the 3rd.

I'm 12 weeks and although I haven't gained anything so far, I'm terrified to repeat my last pregnancy. I gained 45 lbs with my last pregnancy and even though I lost it all, I don't want to have to work that hard again to lose it.

Hi. To add the extra calories needed during pregnancy, go into a meal or snack, add a food, search second or third trimester and it will give you a calorie deficit. This also works for breastfeeding.

I have mine set to maintainence as well and I eat back most of my exercise calories. I am also breastfeeding, so I eat another 200 calories. I just need to stick to mfp and not eat ice cream everyday.

Well, this thread is a little old, but I will answer anyway. With my second, I gained around 45 lbs. I lost about 20 lbs within 2 weeks. so I still had around 25 lbs to lose. I lost about 6 more lbs in 2 months. By 7 months pp, I had lost 30lbs total. By 9 months after spending a lot of time and effort watching my eating…

Oh man. I'm at week 11 and have not gained anything yet. I started around 152, lost to 149 and am back at 152 at 11 weeks. I'm so scared to gain a ton like I did with my second. I ate everything in sight and gained 40-45 lbs! It was terrible to get rid of.

I'm due sometime in November with a surprise (I have a 10 month old at home right now) pregnancy. I think I'm around 10 weeks now. I've been have spotting from light exercise which I think has finally eased up. Morning sickness didn't stop me from working out, the spotting did. I gained 40 lbs with my may 2015 baby and…

Well. I gained 40 with my second pregnancy and lost 15 when I left the hospital leaving me with 25 lbs to lose. In a month I lost 10 more. I'm hoping to not do that again this time.

I'm on week 9 of the guide. I don't follow the diet as I'm breastfeeding and the calories are too low.
-
I'll add you. I'm almost at my goal weight, but I'm on here all the time and will help you stay accountable. I have the last 3 lbs to lose after having a baby.

I'm breastfeeding a 9 month old. I just lost all of my baby weight last week too. 9 months on, 9 months to come off

Fruits and vegetables are carbs. I recommend eating them. I've found it best to be mindful of my sugar and salt intake and trying to eat less packaged foods and more home cooked meals. I consume a lot of carbs in the form of fruits, vegetables and legumes but have trouble staying on track when I consume sweets.

This is all so interesting. I grew up in a small rural town (1500 ppl) in the prairies in Canada, moved to the city for an education and am back. My town is quite into sports and fitness (lots of people out walking dogs or jogging). I can attest to the previous poster that most of the women watch how they eat and workout,…

Used to be 34 after having a baby and now it's 29.5. Still working on the last 6 lbs. My comfortable weight at 5'6 is a very modest 150 lbs.

I try to eat half of my dinners as boring food (grilled /baked chicken/fish, steamed veg and rice). The other half are recipes from the looniespoons cookbook which is low sodium, extra extra vegetables and tons of spices and flavor. I try to gather leftovers from those meals and have them for lunch. I also cannot eat my…

Having the time to prep the meals I enjoy eating. I honestly hate cutting up vegetables. I also have trouble with portion control when I'm not at home (buffet, appetizer spread)
