  • Did you enjoy your dinner? =)
  • Thank you everyone!!! I went for a lovely 4 mile run this am and it felt great. I ran to the dog park and it was fun to see all of them run around. The beautiful cherry blossoms were out and I tried to take in all the beauty around.
  • Welcome Linvala. Glad to hAve more people. :)
  • I was thinking of counting how many calories that was, and exercising that long tomorrow, or what is today.
  • That was a fabulous article. I hope they have more articles like that. I subscribed to receive their e-mails.
  • Thank you. I'm totally going to make this. We should post more favorite recipes.
  • I was wondering what kilojoules were. =)
  • That is great! I like how you are planning and going to allow yourself to enjoy a special meal with your pa. =) I think I asked you in another thread what you do for work, so disregard if I did. Sounds like an amazing job! I'd love to show my students information about that job. May sound funny, but they are so limited in…
  • Great points nony. What do you do for a living? You are really good with your words and helping people.
  • I love this topic. It couldn't have come at a more perfect time. I just realized at a therapy session how negative I am toward myself. It kind of drives me to exercise, achieve at work ect. I think possibly I fear letting go of these negative thoughts because then I won't be the best I can be. So here are my things:…
  • I think when I went through IOP I had to just give my trust over to them. I saw great results with other people. What did I have to lose? I was pretty much at rock bottom. I'm working on trust with my psychologist. She says that if I work on stopping my negative thoughts about myself, eventually they will be less and less.…
  • My sugarless says less than 5. So can I assume it is 4? lol
  • You can also use a brown lunch sack and put a small amount of popcorn, maybe like 4-6 TB of popping corn in the bag. Seal the bag by folding the top over several times. Microwave it and watch it. When you hear popping pretty slow, then take it out. Older microwaves sometimes burn the popcorn and new microwaves don't. Then…
  • ooooh....that sounds fun actually. Well, I wish I could have a small moderate size frozen yogurt without wanting to eat large tubs and get rid of it. I think I also miss having flatbread type pizza with olive oil, garlic, sun dried tomatoes, spinach, basil and chicken. It also has a light sprinkling of cheese. Its a…
  • Good for you for going into treatment. It's hard to give up your control. I understand about going over an amount like 1000 and gaining. That is why my nutritionist is helping me rev up my metabolism so my body reacts to food correctly...burns it! I too started at 900 cals a day and am now at 1300, just about to start 1400…
  • That is good advice. I see a therapist now. Also I suffer from severe anxiety and depression and I think it started with my unhealthy eating habits. It's like you go along eating low calories and think everything is okay until your body starts falling apart. I broke bones very easily (my t12 and my ribs) from things that…
  • By the way, had a really great day and night. Today I'm heading for another great day and night. That will be two days in a row! Woohoo.
  • What are you eating on average right now? How many calories I mean. Are you losing or gaining and what is your goal: to lose, maintain or gain? We are here to help! Well, as much as we can being that we have ED's too.
  • Well I feel like I should be in maintenance but my mom, exercise instructor and nutritionist think I'm too thin. I on the otherhand feel kind of large at the moment. This is not surprising since I have an ED. I was at 1200 to but she upped me to 1300 and then 1400. I'm trying the 1400 and we will see how my body reacts. Do…
  • That is a great message. Unless there is a medical reason to cut out a food, I'm learning that we need food from all food groups, proteins, fats and carbs. I used to be a nonfat eater but am getting over that. I still have foods I'm scared to eat. Here is my I'm not yet ready to eat these things list: cheese, ice cream,…
  • nony....sounds like you gave it your all and tried to eat more nutritious food over the ice cream. What is your calorie goal for the day. As for me I had a slip up last night so tonight is day one start over. Next time my goal is to make it to two or three or whatever I can do. I'm not going to beat myself up over it…
  • Whenever I eat processed foods like cereal, lean pockets, snack bars they always leave me feeling unsatisfied and hungry. I don't know about the weight thing, but I think more whole foods, less processed would satiate you more. At least it does for me. =)
  • I've learned a little about pcos. It sounds a bit hard to manage. I agree nony, accepting where we are is a huge part of feeling good about ourselves and getting a healthy mind and body. Thanks for bringing that up.
  • So glad everyone has joined me. Well last night was way much better than it has been going. I woke up at 1 pm, had a diet hot cocoa and went back to sleep. Woke up at 3, watched a tv show, back to sleep. Woke up at 4:30 and was definitely really hungry so had an apple and lettuce with light raspberry dressing. Now I'm not…
  • I totally want to start weight training! I think muscles are beautiful. My nutritionist works with bikini model competitors and is one herself. I love looking at all her client's posts online. I don't want to be that ripped lol, but strong, have a shape lol and feel great. What do you do for weight training? Free weights,…
  • Oops. I think I posted it in the wrong category. I meant for it to go in a smaller group. :-/
  • I'm a night eater btw.
  • I'm just making a self commitment to myself. A little week challenge to help me work on what I struggle with. I was just opening it up to others to post their week goal. It's ok if others don't. I think it just helps to be very intentional about breaking habits and getting support. :)
  • Wanting to restrict, wanting to have no fat on my body, but restricting leading to overeating or binge purge. A horrible cycle of control, anxiety, loss of control, guilt and shame followed by isolation until I feel I'm done with my pitty party. Lol
  • Ok :) so my iop was for anxiety and depression and not directly food. They definitely discussed food, mindful eating, vitamins, studies in nutrition etc as its all related.
