  • I'll definitely read those links. It can only help me become a stronger more knowledgeable healthy person. :)
  • I got my body fat measured and it it measures my muscle etc. it came out with a number on the lower right corner lol that said that. But I pay a nutritionist to make a meal plan for me each week. She knows I have an Ed and we are working on upping my calories. I was eating like 900 and now I'm supposed to eat a bit over…
  • Chibilice, I relate to so much of what you are talking about. Depression is so hard for me too. This last year I've been in and out of the doctors trying all sorts of depression meds. It's been a crazy ride. Also I think my eating problems and purging are so related to what's going on in my life. I feel like once I learned…
  • Any ideas for us supporting each other? I need help not waking up and eating. I never did this before. It's a new behavior as of 3 months ago.
  • That makes a lot of sense. How come the truth is never written about in fad books or magazines. I know...marketing and money. So sad.
  • Welcome. I think we have enough members to start a personal goal setting thing where we check in each day. Just a thought. Anyone want to commit to something they are struggling with? If not, no worries.
  • Thank you!
  • No...would I find it if I googled it?
  • lol =) you could work up to it on a smaller one. jk
  • After reading this I think I'll try eating the whole thing. I wonder if I'd be more satisfied if I ate it all. I always feel like I have to use a ton of egg whites and then feel unsatisfied but weirdly full.
  • I'll give you my address. I'll even pay the shipping!!
  • Loooove this one. It's fun too! Oh by the way, have you ever tried one of these as an adult!!! Man do they work your abs. Just go at night so nobody sees you. But when you go in a circle, the adult weight makes the animal bend down lower so you really have to use your core to make is rotate in a circle lol. Also you have…
  • I like this idea. I was once told that we should treat abs as any other muscle. If we want a muscle to get bigger we use weight and don't do a ton!!!! of reps but just make a reasonable amount really hard and count. That being said, I find that all ab exercises are as good as the effort I put into them. For example, I can…
  • ooops...ha ha I inserted it in the middle of a word. Wow!! That was special of me.
  • I also have a nutritionist that I totally trust. I email her daily how I did with my food. I trust her as she is into fitness herself and walks her talk. I hate therapists that say "do this, eat this," and they don't look healthy. Another think I do is try to avoid my trigger foods. MacCroc....good idea about eating at…
  • I too think there are some foods I really need to avoid. When I eat them I can't stop eating them. My trigger foods are popcorn...even air popped, diet hot cocoa, any ice cream or frozen yogurt. When I do eat them in moderation it is a huge struggle and I think about it a lot which drives me crazy!!! chigiriswrath I love…
  • Welcome and I'm glad you joined. What do you think would help you or motivate you to make a small change? I'd like to commit to a small change as well. When is your most problematic time of day with food? Do you get support from your family and friends and or boyfriend?
  • I do the same thing. Like tonight I was craving chocolate and I probably overdid it a bit. I had a quest chocolate protein bar and frozen blueberries with a little hot cocoa sprinkled on it. So that was probably an extra 400 calories. I probably could have eaten something tastier for that amount of calories, but maybe my…
  • That is a good point. I never thought about the fact that different foods might be more satiating and nutritious.
  • I just want to say that I ate 14 almonds today! That is a big deal for me. They are on my food fear lists. It was within my nutrition plan so I just trusted.
  • Welcome. My friends know too, but when I have a "mess up" I still try to hide it. For example, I ate a bunch of my roomates sweets and had to sneak replace them before he got home the next day! I felt kinda sneaky, guilty, ashamed etc. You know, all the stuff that goes along with that sort of behavior. Do you know if we…
  • Absolutely! I just accepted. Feel free the chit chat with me all you want. Would love to talk to you more about it. Maybe mfp e-mail is a better place than this thread =)

  • Thanks SLL Runner. I struggle with under eating and then binge eating. I'm sure that is common. But a challenge and daily check in would be great. Each person could make their own goals.
  • I'll start checking the group once a day. So last night I had a binge and eeeks....kinda got rid of it if you know what I mean. All day I'm worried and waiting for me to gain weight because I know one cannot get rid of all the calories. I check myself in the mirror at least 10 times a day waiting for me to get huge lol.…
