Madison here!

You can't boost your metabolism with a supplement. Supplements are for people who are deficient in certain nutrients. Water is helpful for curbing cravings.

The dolphins! Oh, the dolphins. And I'm not making fun. I'm a bleeding heart and sometimes I'm surprised I'm not vegan.

Because more people lack understanding of the flagging system than have a grip on it.

When it comes to an ethical decision about animal products, you're all in or all out, right? I mean, how do you decide to go back to eating and using animal products after deciding that that's unethical? I'm really confused by that.

Unfortunately you're walking a fine line and may not find such a thing. Without a stimulant, your options are OTC supplements that Are usually full of crap claims. Your best bet is to play around with meal timing and keep up your good habits, like drinking water. Find very low cal snacks to tide you over if you need them.

There is a lot to be learned here. You have to weed out the BS and find the people who have been here a while and have had success. There are quite a few!

IFLY. I can't believe how many people missed this brilliance.

I'm at 1240, but have my expenditure set at sedentary. I eat exercise calories back at 50-75% on average (which you should when using MFP) and it makes it perfectly manageable.

Edited for addressing wrong person. NVM

I think it's fairly telling that 2.3 THOUSAND people read this thread and no one has had a positive review or shared an experience of having surgery there.

Congratulations! This is a big step in believing that you will never go back to that old lifestyle and I say if you're ready- go for it!

You control your calories to a very unhealthy number. Please take the advice in this thread and get help.

I still go to my favorite restaurants but I do a few things differently. (1) I look at the menu in advance and plan my meal and calorie count it before I go. (This works 90% of the time and sometimes menus change but it helps!) (2) I budget the calories into my day with the pre-planning, BUT I make sure I don't go into the…

It has a diuretic and laxative effect and will cause you to lose water weight that you will gain back. There is a possibility of diarrhea as well.

Without even getting into the concerns I have about different standards of care, I'm going to say this: it's a terrible idea. Weight loss surgery is not a one day event. It takes lots of time for a surgeon to evaluate your level of health prior to agreeing to surgery (and if they don't id be concerned), a decent recovery…

So mathematically you're betting a negative number? That just doesn't add up and the mentality is incredibly dangerous.

I completely agree.

Good for your heart, but not required for weight loss.

60ish. Less than I should probably.

I do, 75% of the time because I'm coming from work and TBH, taking it off before I work out is a waste of time and I don't feel like it.

The more accurate explanation here is that you ate less than you burned, comfort food or otherwise, as many do when stressed. If stress and anxiety upped calorie burn, my TDEE would be about 8,000. ;)

I had that issue a month into my first one. None of their solutions helped me and they had to send me a replacement.

Steaming veggies is a 5 minute endeavor. You can sautée them in the same amt of time. That's about all I've got because I'm not vegan and eat a lot of meat.

I want to be shocked but I keep looking back to all the things I used to believe, too. It's scary. *shudders*

That sounds AWFUL. I could never sustain that kind of working out on that few calories!

What are your stats and what is your calorie deficit? You may not be eating enough or may be depriving yourself nutritionally. Just guessing without more info.

I was just being ironic, but thanks.
