I find it sincerely difficult to respect nutrition advice from someone who repeatedly references food as "crap" and uses language like "sorta."

10 days is an awful short time for anything to happen. And it's not magic, either...it's about mindset and forming new habits. If you entirely rely on a drug to suppress your appetite and do all the work for you, you're in for a long road.

You could benefit quite a bit from doing some reading on that blog- one of the most respected voices in nutrition and physiology out there.

Feel free to present your own peer reviewed evidence to the contrary.

OP is eating 1000-1200 calories a day. There is no way she is lifting in any kind of overload with that deficit, based solely on the lack of energy she probably has. OP, what are your stats? That's a really low calorie goal, and I'm concerned you're undereating.
-
I guarantee that someone asking this question is not in a recomp that would allow for this. It's POSSIBLE, but extremely unlikely.
-
Either way it's irrelevant because there is no way she is gaining enough muscle in that deficit that it would impact her scale.
-
While I don't disagree, I highly doubt this is relevant to the OP. She's not gaining significant muscle in a deficit.

1lb of muscle weighs the same as 1lb of fat....
-
I would recommend taking measurements. It will help you see your progress. With that said, depending on how much you have to lose, 12 lbs may be noticeable. It is for me.

Which is hopefully not to suggest that a hefty bag and duct tape are in any way a good idea.
-
Great minds...you beat me to it.
-
Really? Did you read the post? He's counting way under what he should and trying to lose to a point he'd be underweight.

I stay on track by being prepared. I pack snacks and meals that fit MY goals and stick to them. I meal prep and pre-log things in order to avoid things being out of my control.

You might consider professional help. Your goal body weight is UNDER weight and you are severely under eating at 1600 or below. Please stop hurting yourself.

I'm in.

A few red flags here... A male of your height and weight should NOT be eating under 1500 calories! The likelihood of losing lean mass is a lot higher and you're not giving yourself enough good nutrition to be active at work and definitely not to lift. Start by re-calculating an appropriate deficit. Losing fast at the…

Try not to think of breast feeding as burning calories, but rather keep in mind that you need to intake an extra 500 calories a day to meet your baby's needs.
-
Being active will burn calories, but will only help with weight loss if you are counting your calories and making sure you are not eating more than you are burning.

But what if the pig ate GMO feed?

You need some new hobbies.

Your experience is one in a million...

I recommend trail mix - small amount is calorie dense, easy to eat and protein packed.

If a farmer told you to jump off a bridge, would you? And subsequently, did you verify with the farmer that the animals had no other subsequent ailments at the time their feed was changed to rule out variables for not eating the feed?

I'm your same height, and whenever I select a goal more aggressive than losing 0.5/wk, it puts me down to 1200, unless my activity level is set really high. 1200 isn't terrible when you're shorter, but with that said, I was losing (slowly, but losing) on 1400 with 4,000-5,000 steps a day and I'm 119#. I could manage 1200,…

Anecdotally... I'm 5'2" and 119#, and I lose at 1400 with a sedentary job (4000-5,000 steps per day). 1200 may be okay for you based on your height, but I'm guessing with your steps/day you may be able to eat more. I'm also guessing you set to losing at the most aggressive rate (because I sure did at first). Your goals are…

My thoughts exactly.

Does your doctor know it's impossible to lose 15 lbs per week short of cutting off limbs? If you don't eat enough, how do you have 60 pounds to lose?
-
You could speed up your weight loss and lose all your muscle mass and be unhealthy. Women love that.

If by "work for you" you mean they give the illusion of reducing fat by moving water around your body and making you pee, then yes, I agree.
