You're yelling. Why are you yelling?
-
What a crazy idea...
-
All this, Becca. The sexypants thread is AWESOME. Also, "cuddle puddles." I'm stealing that!
-
I hope you forgot your sarcasm font ...
-
I make a new, small goal and start breaking down my large goals to more achievable milestones. I tap into my friends here on MFP, and get motivated by their progress.
-
I have three of them in my cart currently.
-
You get me.
-
Nah. I can see it. If I weren't married it would almost be the easiest way for me to find like minded people. As long as it wasn't in a chit chat "person above you" thread. Samesies. That's what MFP is for, no?
-
They get me every time...
-
Sorry for hijacking your thread @BeccaNieder13! If you still have questions, let us know...otherwise I'm gonna be over here just making friends and stuff.
-
*nods* It's magic. We should be friends ;)
-
Fine. I'll save my hugs. You bishes can just be deprived. I'm a great hugger.
-
:joy:
-
Good thing I'm not a stranger anymore cuz I'd hug the *kitten* out of you ;)
-
Yassssssssss!
-
You'd be SHOCKED how often this happens. Look at some of our post counts - we've been here a while and really do want to help! You're pretty cool, Becca. Anyone who uses "shenanigans" is alright by me.
-
Amen!
-
Stick with it! You've got this.
-
How long have you been here and logging, Becca?
-
Meh, detoxing is not really a thing. You can feel differently when you start eating differently because you're putting a better source of fuel into your body, but you don't really "detox." Your liver and kidneys take good care of you! As for a food scale, I have this one, and I love it. I've had it for about a year without…

Sorry! It's the ratio of carbs/fat/protein you want to take in. MFP will have auto settings for you (I followed that for a long time) and I tried to balance it. If you're on the web version, it will tell you exactly what you are deficient in at the bottom of your food diary each day. (It defaults to tracking carbs,…
-
It really depends on your goals. You have to figure out what macro ratio you're aiming for. I'm too tired on a Sunday morning to figure that out from your post. ;)
-
Yeah, you're low on the calorie end. If appetite is your problem (this can happen when changing diet plans), try adding some high calorie snacks to your day (avocado, trail mix, almonds, pecans, peanut butter, etc). Full of good fats, but minimal intake for the calorie increase. Try to hit the goal MFP has set for you- it…
-
What's your calorie goal and how many are you consuming in a day?
-
Welcome and stick around. It really works!
-
Congrats on your loss and you're spot on with points 1 and 2. As far as exercise, its untrue that you can't lose without increased exercise. It's great for health, but unnecessary for weight loss. With that said, are you taking really days? Lifting every day doesn't give your muscles time to recover that they NEED. Be…
-
You need way more than 5 days. Patience!
-
It depends on my goals. When I was strictly trying to lose weight, I weighed daily, for exactly the reason you mentioned: as you get closer to goal, you begin to see day to day fluctuations and you learn a lot about your body. I gained a healthier perspective on weight and no longer "panic" when the scale goes up a pound…
-
Exercises won't help them look thinner. Calorie deficit and start a lifting program.
-
You can't spot reduce, sorry. Overall calorie deficit will make them all smaller.
