Don't underestimate the havoc stress can take on you, physically, mentally and emotionally. Go easy on yourself, life has kicked your *kitten* for a few years now. There is no time limit, start to focus on your mental and physical well being. Take it slow, you're not a failure, your priorities changed for a while. Now you…

Good luck you can do it, maybe take some time to work on your inner peace also. Find the calm, the rest will follow.

This is exactly the first thing I thought of when I read the title of this thread

You look fantastic, so healthy and strong.
-
Wow, you look amazing. Well done.
-
OK thanks all, I'll adjust the protein down and fats up and see how I go.
-
I can't do any cardio due to injuries so its strength training only. I'm not cutting out all fats at all. I put my stats in and this was the number I got. Bf is 27%, I'm looking to retain muscle while dropping fat. Is 40g of fat a day really too low? Im sure I'll find that out as I go on if I'm having trouble hitting the…

Thanks guys, I suppose a protein shake would hit the number each day. Can I ask why you would lower protein and increase fat? @livingleanlivingclean My aim is fat loss, I have weight trained on and off over the years so I carry a bit of muscle put I really need to shift the fat.
-
@kommodevaran thanks but I'm going to go with the program I have for the month and see how I get on. @livingleanlivingclean thanks, does this sound right? Carbs 130g Fat 40g Protein 150g So a boiled egg has 1.5g of carb, 5g of fat and 8g protein and 78 calories as an example. I'm just trying to figure out what foods to eat…

Ok officially fell off the wagon here. I had a very busy and stressful week last week and while I was under my calorie goal most days because I was too busy to eat properly I allowed a few treats to slip in uncounted and the end result was a gain of .4kg. I was really pissed off. It's just so hard to lose the weight, even…

This is me every month but i usually follow it with a loss so it all evens out. The joys of bein a woman!

Welcome to all the newbies! And good luck to everyone, remember progress not perfection. Take the setbacks on the chin, move on and keep logging. 2017 will be our year to finally be happy in our skin and with our weight.

Progress not perfection, You are doing great, keep at it no matter what. Don't dwell on the slip ups.

Welcome Summer. If I were you I would keep things very very simple to start with. Set up your stats and work out your calorie goals. Buy a digital food scales. What foods do you like to eat? You can still eat the foods you like and incorporate them into your daily food goals. You need to food prep and food plan. Just start…

Pw 73.9kg Cw 72.8kg Gw 63kg Delighted with the loss as have been out to eat in restaurants twice this week. I made good choices food wise but the wine! I'm off on holidays in 5 weeks just me and my dh on our own without kids, I really want to get under the 70kg by that time. I think it's doable. I'm not exercising other…

Running doesn't make you lose weight. It will help burn calories so if you are in a calorie deficit you will lose weight. Agree with amandadm you need to factor in rest days and also you need to factor in the boredom factor and the failure factor. Ie: you will get bored quicker if you don't take a break and you will feel…

Forgot to add previous weigh in 73.1 so not too bad .7kg for the 2 weeks of not logging and eating outside of calorie goal.

@karleeggarner Oops I didn't mean to come across as so abrupt, but I just said it as I see it in your post. There is literally nothing stopping you but you! Go easy, enjoy your family. It is absolutely essential to take time to look after yourself, a happy mommy equals a happy everybody. Don't rush it, live in the moment…

Ok, firstly I am the same weight and height as you give or take a few pounds. I most definitely am not nor do I think of myself as revolting. So you need to stop with the negative self talk. Second, you are 30/40 lbs overweight, you don't have cancer! So lighten up!! Make a plan and stop feeling sorry for yourself.…

Bah.... Sw:75.3 Pw 72.6 Cw 73.1 Gw.63. I really struggled this week for some reason and I Def went over every day by a few 100 call. So annoyed with myself as I really wanted to hit 72 this week. Any way gotta just keep going. Well done to all who have lost this week.
-
Congratulations you look great, it has taken years off you!
-
Loves those arms!! Well done.

But you don't need to agressively exercise to lose weight, honestly I would continue with mfp and try to lose 1lb a week. You sound too tired and Ill to manage an exercise schedule right now. There is no reason for you to abandon your healthy eating and weightloss right now when it is crucial to your health and well being.…

Make small changes, start with your food. Just stay within your calorie goal. Even a walk in the park out in the fresh air will lift your mood. Good luck.
-
@weebeejamin So no loss, no gain, sounds good for the week that was in it. Just to update I went from 72.3 kgs to 73.8kg the week my period was due even though I ate to plan. 5 days later I'm down to 72.6kg. I did have chocolate and biscuits but I didn't go crazy. I think the key is to just try to manage it, not let it get…
