That is just amazing success! Just when I think I understand health, I don't. 20lb in a month from adding fat, wow! All I know is, I was on a roll doing awesome until I stepped on the scale and saw zero progress. It completely deflated me so I'm tempted to avoid the scale as much as possible this time. Congrats again on…

Totally incredible! Calling People magazine  Question(s). Did you say you lost 175lb in 1 year? When you exercised, did you add back the exercise calories, or did you just eat 1500 regardless of burning say 400 cal via cardio? I'm exercising but not adding the exercise calories and have my daily limit set to 1600…

Ok I’m with you! I have had a great week, very focused and haven’t eaten out. I’ve planned my meals, nothing crazy, a lot of repetition but it’s working. I’m not stopping now. I keep thinking how awesome I’m going to feel this summer, we have time now to make a difference.

I felt like I was reading my own post. 2017 the weight piled on because truthfully, I felt soooo good. I was so happy and also had a very social year and just let it go. I drank a lot of craft beer ( so good ) and out for dinners, vacations. Really that’s the life lol. But it isn’t when you’re clothes start getting tight…

I think what’s key also is a weekly weigh in. If you’re getting off track then get back to what works before you are 30lb up, I wish I did that! I was sporadic with this. Never again, when I reach goal I am not messing around like this again.

I can 100% relate to this! I haven’t stopped working out. My poor Bootcamp instructor is looking at me so confused because I’m much bigger than 1.5 years ago when I started. Not exactly an ambassador for her lol. I too thought I could be “mindful” of what I ate. Truthfully I enjoy craft beer and eating out way too much. At…

So many of us in the same boat. Can we fit? Lol. We will soon! Do you think this thread will help if we all keep each other updated and look here for support?

Sat weigh in - down 1lb since Christmas, phew! Actually, I'm down 2lbs from yesterdays weigh in but I only count Saturday's. Sodium? Who knows. I can feel the strength in making better decisions. Just think how good we will all feel by end of Jan after staying focused. I've learned that time really does fly by so hopefully…

Happy Saturday Morning! So let's all post our weekly successes, etc. and keep each other accountable, what do you think? So many of us are in the same boat, I've received great advice and what is true for all of us is that 1. We are here 2. We are taking action and 3. We are committed to doing this! I know for me that once…

I 100% can relate to this and thank you for the friend request. Eating indulgent foods, or going to restaurants is comforting amongst friends and when someone stops doing this, friends typically try to hang on to it because it’s such a big part of being social, and it’s fun! It’s similar to friends who smoke and then one…

Today I stepped on the scale which is the first time since before Christmas, shows up only 1lb so I’m happy about that because I really indulged.

So I went to bed starving and dragged my sorry butt to Bootcamp this am, success. I’m not spending my life obsessing about my weight. That’s a big motivation for me. How’s everyone?

Hi ladies. I’m interested if it’s not too late! I’m 46 and joined MFP in 2014, lost 80lb and put 30 on over the last year due to feeling great and celebrating too much then work stress. Then take out food stress. I’m past the point of comfort, the only clothes I can wear are yoga pants. Stretchy. I wasn’t at my goal before…

@xlgman Thank you this was very helpful. I actually felt as though I could really relate, except I hope your mom is ok, sorry. I too have let my good habits disappear one by one. The biggest hurdle I have, probably mentally, is that I was a long-distance runner for many years, last year I ran 2 half marathons and of…

Thank you everyone, you are all wonderful and supportive. Happy New Year as well, now it's really time to make this happen. It seems I'm not alone. This really is something that I need to focus on daily. I love living the good life too much so time to refocus. Just came back from a long walk with my dogs which felt great.…

Hi there, I've been a vegan for almost 5 years and I'm quite the foodie. I'm here to say you can enjoy everything and lose weight, I'm down 85 lbs. Don't get sucked into the keto diet or super low carb, you can if you want to but really, listen to your body and eat what makes you feel good. To lose weight you need to track…

This is a true success story, way to go!! Your determination and perseverance is admirable. I hope you also put some focus on perhaps meditation and changing your mindset regarding the bullies in your past. I'm so sorry to read that and it makes me furious, people can be just horrible but it doesn't mean what they say has…

Thank you very much :) this helps

Congrats on your success!!! I'm always confused when people mention their deficit, does that mean you are following what mfp gave you as a calorie goal to lose 1lb? Or were you using a different method for your calories? I'm helping my husband lose weight and right now he isn't motivated to exercise, I'm planning his meals…

Congrats!!! I would love to hear tips as I'm helping my husband lose weight :) thx

I just found this thread and I'm so happy. I feel like I'm part of high volume eaters anonymous. At least it's therapuetic for me since I've always felt guilty about my big *kitten* salad every night! I seriously fill a mixing bowl full of mixed greens, will massage dressing ( measured) add tons of veggies, sunflower…

That is great! I'm scared to track macros because I think it will be too much/confusing but of course, want these results! Can you share your stats, height, calories, what do you do for exercise? Thanks and congrats!!
-
Thanks everyone... Macro, Keto.... blah! too much... I am making this more complicated then it needs to be and going to stick to what I know.... I don't want to focus 100% on macros so going to pretend I never came across the M word
-
Thank you !! I should add that I've been using Mfp since 2014 and somehow stalled. At the same time I started looking at different methods ie macro tracking and I'm now lost.
-
Congratulations!!! Great success!! Can you share any tips? I'm helping my husband lose weight on here and I'm vegan, he's not so sometimes I don't know what to do meal-wise? Thx

I've been vegan for 4 years, never felt better and healthier in my life, just ran my first half marathon. There are many reasons to consider a vegan lifestyle, I recommend forks over knives documentary. There are sooooo many resources for food, look at Pinterest, minimalist baker, oh she glows, etc. People always wonder…

Thanks guys for the advice! He has a lot of underlying muscle, he's very strong and is a construction manager so active although many times in the office. I have weighed and measured everything, muffins were bought that listed the calories for ease. He is going to start walking our dog ( bonus for me :) ) I should add he…

Hey everyone! I've been vegan for 4 years, best decision. I'm stuck however and can't seem to lose any weight and it's driving me crazy. I eat mostly unprocessed and run 3x per week, my friends eat 2000 per day and are slim or losing weight, today the scale showed I gained. I'm so down. I appreciate any support xo

Your post has really moved me, what a journey you have been on. You have really learned about yourself and have truly broken through your past struggles and changed your mindset which is so hard to do. I'm excited for your future, you are very inspiring. Best xo
