I used a mini banana, half cup of black coffee or espresso and some milk, blended, creamy banana coffee/latte smoothie to start the day! For people who could not take milk, use plain soy or almond milk instead, no need for sugar as the banana itself is enough sweet. Less sugar = Less fat.

Did your doctor recommended you what to eat and what exercises you should try?

One habit that I adapted since MFP is to READ the nutrition labels on the package so that I know what portion I should take in order to keep my calorie intake in range for the day or week.

I usually look at my calorie intake for the week to see if it's within the range and wouldn't concern too much if there's one day that's a bit over. I find this feels better & less stressful & easier to keep going!

This is what I thought too, thanks!

I thought having brown rice & whole wheat bread would have better carbs & having brown or black sugar is better than white sugar?

Hi I'm 44 from Calgary, Canada. I started using MFP over 3 years ago & successfully lost over 20 lbs in one year & was able to kept it off. I was so hooked on MFP at one point that when I look at the food, my brain started to analyze the data as to how much is the calories, fat, carbs, sugar.... Etc. Very freaky!

Sure! Currently I do swimming 3 times a week & just started strength training once a week for the past couple of months & stretching everyday. By the way, I'm 44 years old.

I like using avocado to spread on my toast in replacement of margarine.

My mindset is keeping fit is a lifetime career! Yes, sometimes you do have to work hard to keep it. I started with a cardiovascular exercise (swimming) & determined to eat healthy and in smaller portions. It took me a year to reach my goal which was only 20ish lbs. as I learned more about food and exercise I was really…
