after you finish C25K, download B210K {Bridge to 10K} then look for a half marathon training plan.

I have used the Garmin VivoFit, the Garmin VivoSmart HR, and just upgraded to the VivoActive HR. I like the Garmin Connect ecosystem due to the fact is is more "meat and potatoes" than Fitbits or Misfits systems. I like the pure numbers. All of the Vivo line up is water resistant which allows for swimming, bathing, water…

I was just about to suggest maybe driving to a safer area and running there. I know there is more than one runner that does that....

How much do you think you'll need? What about getting one of those under saddle TT bidon mounts... two on the frame, two on the saddle and throw the spare parts kit in your jersey pockets ....

When ever I see someone on a drop bar bike with a Camlebak I get the idea that they're out long distance trekking. I don't know why. I guess I'm use to Baks being used in the MTB world, or distance rides. But a part of me wishes they would introduce a commuter back pack with a Bak compartment in it. That I think I'd use.…

Random thought of the day. When you clean your Vacuum Cleaner, you become the Vacuum Cleaner.

Are you connecting via Fitbit the fitbit side.

I would venture to say it's "bike fit". I see plenty of people who are not your typically "cyclist frame" who ride bikes. Some on Beach Cruisers, some on Tri-Bikes, and some on all out Road Machines. All saddles, are not created equally, all bikes are not created equally. There is no one size fits all formula.

I mount my cateye Volt 300 under bar.... I don't trust the Bontrager mount enough to do that... Works extremely well in my opinion.

Look into a Refurbished unit via eBay or Amazon. I picked up a Refurb Hero 3 Silver for about $200.00 It does a decent job for the price. Here is a sample from different POVs and visual settings. All Filmed on the same Camera https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nSef0wu13ss

I mean the F3hr, and VAhr both have Strength training modes on them to monitor heart rate while lifting. But I do wish i could program in a routine and have it prompt me to do whatever next.

I do not. No. Those are factored into my caloric burn/intake when I set my activity level when I signed up. The only time will log workouts like that is when I'm doing something above and beyond the normal. For example my father in law wants me to help him split wood.... an Ash Tree..... That I'll log because it's above…

Heart rate doesn't know if you're stressed out. Heart Rate doesn't know if you're jacked up on Mt Dew, and about to go at someone like a spider moneky. Heart Rate doesn't know if that cute woman in a mini skirt just winked at you. Heart rate cannot tell you how much power you're outputting. Heart Rate doesn't know if…

That can be pretty subjective to the ride. According to this ride I burned 46.40 cal/mile. According to this ride I burned 51.75 cal/mile According to this ride I burned 18.82 cal/mile. According to this ride I burned 38.63 cal/mile. Now I understand those are outdoors.... So The Last time I used Zwift, an Indoor Spinning…

25 miles at 13mph would make since in 30 mins of time frame.

This is the exact reason my First Road bike was an endurance frame. I ride it to and from work a couple days a week. And I can go crank out 65-75 miles on it and still be able to walk around the rest of the day....

Sweating doesn't equal extra calories burned. Sweating just means your body is trying to cool it down. Well that's a lie. You do burn extra calories. But it's not anywhere near what your thinking. 30 mins of spinning is pretty solid effort. But honestly without a Power Meter the caloric burn could be anything. There is no…

IF you feel like you're "bonking out" or "Hitting the Wall" then eat something. I've always read between 30-45 mins post workout. However I'm sure that's for top level professionals, that need every little advantage they can get.... . For us commoners I don't think there really is a benefit one way or the other.
