Just bought my wife a Magellan Cyclo 315HC for 99 bucks off Amazon. It's a sweet deal. Came with the HRM and Speed and cadence sensors. So far I love it. It's a fantastic little camera.

I never questioned that. Not once. However there are many many people who quote their caloric burn, and intake as gospel. You have to have have give and take room.

Okay let's play a game. You're building a house. You're off 5% here, 12% Off there.... What kind of results do you expect? Yes they're estimated numbers. But many want to lay claim that they're gospel truth.... And you cannot do that.

Why are you wanting a wrist mounted hr monitor?

Confused...... I have a Garmin VivóActive HR, and a Garmin Edge 520... I still use Strava ...

Strava is an awesome app.

The Tickr connects to my phone perfectly and works perfectly. In fact I really liked the Cadences and Smoothness readings I would get when paired to their Wahoo Fitness Tracker app....when I was riding. I'm running in a 14K run tomorrow morning and will be using it tomorrow. I had issues between the Rflkt and the Samsung…

I use their Tickr Run, I have their Rflkt, [and it was hit and miss for me with a Samsung phone] I have their Speed Sensor [Hub Mounted] and Cadence Sensor [Crank Mounted] on my mountain bike. And I have used their BlueSC. I am a huge fan of Wahoo Fitness products. I really liked their Wahoo Fitness Tracker App before I…

I did not mention food because the op was talking about hydration. Not specifically electrolytes and Hydration. My underlining statement is. Stay hydrated, and if your going to be out for a long time. Use something with electrolytes. Either solid or liquid.
-
I never contested that. In fact if you read my statement earlier and I quote I even mention drinking water "or" a sports drinking I never once said it is required/mandatory to drink a sports drink. IE: Gatorade, PowerAde, Nuun, Vega, SIS. I said those types of drinks will help replenish electrolytes you lose through…

1) You're talking about Elite Athletes. People who have trained their entire life, and people who have conditioned their bodies to those extremes. Not Average Joe people who are running and cycling for weight loss and generate health benefits associated with it..... How sever do you want to go? Vomiting? Diarrhoea?…

Whenever my bike is broke. Or I sign up for an event. Now when I'm training for the Flying Pig Half Marathon I go out a few times a week. Whatever McMillian Running suggest. .

1) As someone who practices endurance Sports, in my opinion, Yes. I would advise of drinking water and some sort of electrolyte during long distance/higher time line sports. There are studies that show if you run, cycle, hike for more that 3 hours at a stretch w/o drinking [tap] water or some sort of "sports drink" you run…

Okay. You need to understand how your mind and mucslces work. You have electrical impulses that send singals to your muslce to contract. And you have Electrical Impuses in your mind that trigger memory and "thought". When you sweat you lose moisture through your skin. Your body is robbing yourself of water to keep your…

Nothing wrist based will work. Wrist Based Pedometers are nothing more that accelrometers that pick up forward and backwards motion as steps. Because most people do swing their arms when they walk. You're going to need something like the Jawbone Up, or the Fitbit one to suit your needs.....

There are a few groups that do slow rides here in town. And I wanted to get a video of the group I rode with yesterday and I had to get up ahead of them, so I snaked through the group and when I got to the group leader I just took off in a dead sprint. That happened right on a walkway by the Ohio river. I got in a little…

If I can add my two cents There are companies like Jamis and Surly that make "Urban Road Bikes". They have the drop bars like a road bike, but they have slightly wider tires, like mountain bikes so you can get the best of both worlds. You get the positions of a road bike, with the softer ride of a mountain bike. And…

I know Shimano, SRAM, and FSA all have Hyd rim breaks but have yet to talk to anyone who has them.... I'm piece by piece upgrading my Road bike and trying to think if i want to go Hyd rim or mech rim ....

It rained here... but it didn't stop me..... Is your bike rim brake or disk brake?
