If you're wanting to get something, I would recommend the Garmin Edge 15 with a HRM. Small. light weight. Tracks your distance, speed, elevation change, pace. And IIRC you can load routes to it so you can explore new paths and find your way back. They run about $160.00 and with Summer End Sales going my LBS will have them…

No. Our dogs have my old futon and they sleep on that.

Some time I feel like a nut, some times I don't. Sometimes I feel like why do I even bother.....

If you're into cycling pick up a Wahoo Tickr Run HRM, download Strava and sign up for the premium service. HRM & watch combo's cannot account for elevation gain, speed, or distance covered. You can save your cash and get much better data from a dedicated cycling app and a HRM.

I've ran in the rain and find it refreshing and rewarding.

Cannot post images from the mobile app.... But this picture is about 9 months apart... With my none effective method https://goo.gl/photos/tkSrWfDeFB9mFB6T7

So I guess dropping 109 pounds in less than a year isn't results? Fair enough....

Not crazy. Just well prepared

It's been a while. But yes. I couldn't give you an exact date. I'm some 790 days logged. I had all those links in a Google Keep memo . . . So on the flip side of the coin, if you're not nailed down to one workout routine, and you do something different every time you go there is no chain to break, there is no muscle…

I typically know what I'm having every day of the week for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. I could log every [weekday] meal on Sunday Night. And if I'm going out to eat on the weekends. I typically log it just before ordering it so I can make sure I'm within my limits.

Terrible advice? I can point to more that one source from all different spectrum on why Mixing up your routine is good.

Seriously? Someone flag'd this post? Are you kidding me? Someone needs to crawl back into their safespace and hug their blank'y a little tighter....

My Planet Fitness has 4 squat racks .... i use them every time I go . . . But weight loss comes from burning more calories that you take in. Lifting builds and tones muscle. as far as a plan, you only have a few zones to train. Back, Core, Arms, Legs. Just mix it up. Typically I do a short warm up session on the treadmill,…

I have mixed emotions on it. I log my Strength exercises independently so they show in my diary, and I know what I did on such & such day. It would be nice to see independent cardio based exercises as well. But since I've been logging everything through Strava I can just sneak over there if I want.

I do a Cliff Bar, typically Coconut and Chocolate Chip with a Protein Shake.

Within a 30-45 min window is what I've always been told, and I have read. I'm not by any stretch implying it has to be done as soon as you're done taking your last running step.

RoadID has an app for Android and iOS. Both of them are live tracking and if you go steady for 5 mins it'll start to send out an alarm to those you chose, before you work out, and will alert them if you cannot. That's personally what I use when I go out for a night run, or night ride.

I prefer, and recommend, MFP over WW. For one simple reason. MFP TEACHES you want to eat. WW TELLSyou want to eat. So when you go out with friends/family or your away from your WW meal plan you can still make wise decision.
-
Not that I'm aware of. If i use my VivoActive to walk on lunch, then go for a short run, then my Edge 520 to record a bike ride it'll all show as one workout on MFP.

HA HA HA HA Like I tell people, with MILLIONS of guns in the hands of the public and legitimately TRILLIONS of rounds of ammunition if we were troublesome, you'd know it.

No offense taken. To each their own. I drive a lowered 1994 Jetta.... Not some big farm truck. To be honest the biggest reason I did it, from the mouth of a LEO, when they see those stickers they assume that the person inside is a Concealed Carry Permit holder, which have proven themselves to a upstanding member of society…

Wouldn't know. They're not ANT+.

Bumper stickers? I have a "We The People", Magpul, Glock, and a couple others Bumper Stickers. For 5 or more years, and I've not had one person tamper with my car over it. But then again standing 5 foot 11 inches tall, weighing a solid 230 pound, with a mohawk and tattoos I don't think many people are going to walk up and…

IF you're wanting something just to track your steps something like the Garmin VivoFit 2 or 3. Something like the Fitbit Zip, Fitbit One, Jawbone Up ... anything like that will serve what you're looking for. But honestly. If you're wanting to get back to the "glory days" of working out and running. That's comes from the…

Strava or Endomondo are the two I like. I use Strava more that anything.

Every Olympic Swimmer Every Grand Tour Cyclist Every Marathon Runner Every Professional lifter all was "just starting out" at some point or another. Glad to hear you didn't let the nerves get the best of you.

1) Because microtears happen in your leg muscles, and tendons. And it's a good idea to help them repair. Some reason lifters use protein after the lift. 2) Because some Whey Proteins do contain Potassium which will help with some joint pains. Yea I agree you can get potassium from Bananas and/or Kiwis as well. And yes I…
