Isagenix is all over my FB feed, thanks to an enterprising individual who has bought into the, er, program. It's just a meal replacement shake, along with what looks like a lot of pseudoscience and motivational claptrap. You can do that for free, and without alienating a friend by buying it, deciding that it's not worth…

That, and it's easy to mix into my oatmeal.

I recently switched to maintenance, and "gained" almost 5 pounds over a few days, then lost 3, etc. I'm trying to find what range around my goal weight makes sense, and I'm going to remain patient with myself while I do that.

Hummus! Great with carrots or other dippable veggies.

That's probably the caffeine.

OP may or may not be a troll, but aversion to certain food textures/flavors is something that can happen even to otherwise well-adjusted adults. I'm an example. There are certain foods (mostly vegetables) that make me gag, especially if I think about what I'm eating.

I've found that sparkling water (no sweeteners, no sodium) is a great substitute for pop. It satisfies the "fizzy" craving.

I like your analogy, but I think "If you bowl only strikes, then you will win" is more apt. If someone doesn't know the rules of the game, they have no chance of winning. Edited to fix quoting mishap.

Never had Arctic Zero, but +1 for Slow Churn. Yummmmmm.

What, seven pages on potatoes and no Samwise?

I do a company-sponsored 5K every year, and if yours is anything like mine, you probably don't need to stress out too much. People of all ability levels participate; some folks walk the whole thing, and on the other end of the spectrum, we had one guy last year who ran the entire course twice before most people finished…

First of all, what sort of 5K have you signed up for? Is it a "fun run"/themed 5K? Mud run? Company-sponsored? More serious than these? What are your goals? It sounds like you just want to cross the finish line. Do you want to do so without walking? Within a given time limit? What 5K training program are you using?

I have a post-workout protein shake every morning, and then space out the rest of my breakfast throughout the morning, eating when I'm hungry. In MFP, I log it all as "breakfast" but in reality it's like 3 or 4 small snacks. I find this works really well to stave off hunger until lunchtime.

A cosmopolitan, mojito, and Tom Collins have the lowest calories of cocktails I know how to make for someone who doesn't like the taste of alcohol, aside from the easy choice, which is rum & diet cola.

Hint: rich people don't get rich (or stay rich) by being frivolous with their money.

This will be far more controversial than anything else in this thread, I fear, but I'll just come out and say it. Peeps just aren't that good. In fact, I would go so far as to say they are bad. Disgusting, even.

Watch out for that dihydrogen monoxide. Of all the chemicals that people have consumed, it's one we know has a 100% mortality rate.

Same thing happened to me just yesterday. I usually go a half hour on the elliptical, but I did 45 minutes this time. Going backwards for a minute or two eliminated the tingling sensation.
-
You like money, too? We should hang out.

Thanks. This thread has made my day. It's nice to see that the attitudes here about alt-med, etc. run toward the skeptical side. I honestly expected a lot worse, given the popular forum topics that pop up on the right side of the MFP home page from time to time...

Based on this thread, I'm pretty sure it involves massage therapy.
