  • This gives me hope! Thanks everybody for the response! I'll be keeping those jeans around a little longer I think! :P
  • Did you do any research before you cut out meat? Or consult a docter or nutritionist first? I've never done it before and I wouldnt want to deprive myself of nutrients I need. I know I would get plenty of protein from fish.....maybe adding a multi-vitamin would help...
  • Yeah I thought it was weird too. I live on a military base though so there is security EVERYWHERE! Were constantly being watched. You get used to it.
  • A few hours on the couch with a good book. I usually treat myself to this after a good workout. I used to reward workouts with food...but not since MFP! :)
  • Looking Great!!! Do you still eat seafood? I could give up meat but I dont think I could ever give up fish or shrimp...
  • My husband weighs himself once or twice a day and it drives me absolutely insane! I usually weigh in on Monday mornings but if I ever do allow myself a treat its on the weekend so I was wondering if weighing in before the weekend would be better...and more encouraging :P
  • when you post the image code you have to make sure your
  • You look great! Its hard to see the changes in ourself but rest assured that there is definitely a difference! What kind of exercise do you do? because I'd love to get my legs to slim down like yours did! Keep up the good work!!!!
  • butterkist toffee popcorn sounds amazing....hahaha. but will avoid it! :P
  • That is an awesome Idea...I never thought about keeping one of the popcorn bags for future use. I will definitely be doing that! but...it doesnt help me tonight. How bad is the movie theater popcorn? I usually go for the small size and I can never finish it (usually get 2/3 through)...I also never add any butter. If I just…
  • Yes I do the same with the Dasani. They sell that here too so its easy to sneak in :) I feel no shame in doing so either when they want to charge me $3.50 for a bottle of water that cost me 45 cents at the grocery store.
  • I can try...just have to be real careful because they walk the aisle with flashlights 3 or 4 times during the movie. Stupid but you can get kicked out for bringing in your own stuff. Any suggestions on what to bring in...
  • Thanks so much for the info! I've been wanting one for a while. May be asking the hubby to get me one for Christmas :)
  • Been thinking about getting one...but not too sure I could handle wearing it 24/7 Do you even have to sleep with it on?
  • Good to know...I was feeling guilty on the days that I ate back my exercise calories. Even when it was on healthy foods. I was going about it all wrong thinking the lowest amount of calories was the way to go. I've actually been under my calorie goal by 200-300 calories most days. Thought that was a good thing but I guess…
  • So what about people who dont have alot to lose? I am only looking to lose 20-25 lbs. I very rarely eat my exercise calories back. Could this be slowing down my weight loss? I'm kind of confused...I thought eating less/exercising more would = weight loss.
  • Whats wrong with the Egg Beaters egg whites? I use those...are they secretly bad for you or something??? Hope I havent been eating something I shouldnt be :(
  • I say if she's motivated enough to want to start using MFP then it should be ok...but with your guidance. If you see that she's becoming overly obsessed with calorie counting then step in and try to help her see that thats not the most important thing. Living healthy is what she should be striving for...not obsessing over…
  • Dont let yourself get bored with your routine. Switch it up and try new and fun ways of working out. For example, I was getting burned out on running and the elliptical so I went out and got myself a bicycle. Now I look forward to my afternoon rides. Next I want to try playing racquetball with my husband. If you allow…
  • I think its a good idea in theory but I dont like the word "diet" when it refers to little kids. Kids should not be dieting...they should be taught to eat healthy so they dont have to diet later in life. Maybe if the book was called "Maggie Eats Healthy" then I could understand it more. I think if we start telling children…
  • Oh that sound so delicious!!! Thank you! I will definitely be trying this one!!!!!
  • Its not that I dont have time for breakfast. I'm a stay at home wife so I have all the time in the world. Its just that some mornings I really just dont feel hungry at all until around noon. I dont want to force myself to eat when I'm not hungry, but I also dont want to pig out at lunch. Maybe a smoothie or something would…
  • 1. I wish that my husband was home with me instead of on a plane heading to the states for work! 2. I wish that this month would be the month that I finally get a BFP (big fat positive) on my pregnancy test! 3. I wish that when I get on the scale on Monday I will see at least 2-5 lbs dropped this week!
  • Thank You! I'd prefer the wheat bread anyway :)
  • Thank You! I'll look into the Garmin products!! I do run alot so that sounds like it would be perfect for me!
  • Would it be better to use a HRM than to keep using MFP's database? I dont want to waste my money but I also dont like feeling iffy about the workouts I've done...
  • I had never heard of a HRM either. I have seen the body bugg on biggest loser but I dont want something that I have to wear 24/7...and I dont really want to spend that kind of money either. Any suggestion on a good quality HRM?
  • I log mine as circuit training
  • I like the idea of taking off the top part of the bread. I think they also have flatbread there that would probably be a better choice. I just feel so disappointed for today. I know I shouldn't dwell on it, but its the first time since starting MFP that I've gone over my calorie goal so I'm having a hard time coming to…
  • Using these message boards has really helped me stay motivated. Hearing other peoples stories and getting recipe ideas and workout tips really gets me excited about this journey. Also finding ways to exercise that are enjoyable. My husband and I went out and bought bicycles and riding for an hour or two is so fun and burns…
