Hey - I'm a MFP veteran who used it to lose over 40 pounds nearly two years ago. A bit of the weight has crept back up (5-8 measly pounds, depending on the day) and I'm looking to get back down to 120. 5'1", 25 years old! HW: 158+ (not sure exactly, Feb 2015) LW: 118 (just a few months ago) GW: 120 My goal is to work out…

It's nice to celebrate the little ones - yesterday I hit my eye goal and worked out for over an hour and a half doing cardio and leg and ab workouts. I was well under my calorie goal too, and today I'm down a little under 2 pounds from Sunday!

lol that's a good way to look at it, I'm going to try walking more on lunch and on the treadmill at the gym. I usually stick to other cardio machines but they don't track steps the right way. thanks for the inspiration!

that's awesome and inspiring! I need to be hitting my 10,000 step goal..I'm consistently NOT, lol. It's hard with a desk job. I'm going to try to hit it at least twice this week.

that's a much better choice! It's all about the tiny steps.

what's in it? sounds good!!

i have two "go to" smoothies: for my chocolate cravings: - Tera's whey dark chocolate protein powder. 1-2 scoops (55-110 cal) - a cup of unsweetened vanilla almond milk (30 cal) -a few chunks of frozen banana (approx 50 cal) -a small handful of oats (approx 50 cal) for something fresh and fruity: -one cup of spinach (10…

that's awesome!

woah not sure if I can manage that one. nice work!

way to go!!

I'm finding these last 10 pounds the hardest, especially as i step up my strength training and gain muscle. I'm trying to consistently stay under 1200 calories and avoid Late night snacking. otherwise I'm just trying to be wary about portion sizes. I don't want to do anything drastic because that won't work for me in the…

it's so easy to focus on the small fails but much more fulfilling to focus on the tiny victories. :) that's really good! you have me beat. I couldn't work out Tuesday and went over my calorie budget today - hoping to even it out tonight with an intense workout though!
-
that's impressive! what kind of workouts do you do? I find it hard to work out every day, I usually end up doing 5 days a week.
-
that's so great! even when they're still tight I love feeling like I made some progress.
-
that's awesome! I love adding little ways to get my steps in...I've been trying to park farther away from my office. Every step counts :)
-
that's awesome! I can totally relate about the talking yourself into sleeping in. Whenever I set an earlier alarm to work out, my sleepy brain convinces me to hit snooze. Good for you!!

Great job! That's even more amazing than my story. Well I'm back to just about everything except running now, but when it was really bad, I just did a lot of upper body strength work. I would do different workouts with 5 pound weights while sitting on my bed lol. Every minute I would switch to something else, and every…

we seem somewhat similar! (see my post above) I feel you on the foodie thing...I'm the same. I can't cut out the foods I love so I try to amp up my workouts! I work out 4-6 days a week, I used to run but since I broke my foot in August running is a bit too hard for me.

you're so welcome! I wish you the best of luck (but luck isn't what you'll need, just willpower haha). if I can do it I'm sure you can too.

thank you but 45 pounds is even more impressive! I googled it to get an idea of a healthy weight range based on my height. I know I'm considered a healthy weight but want to lose some more while staying in that range.
-
sorry just read this but I'm sorry to hear about your ankle, I hope you're healing up ok! I'm glad you added me as a friend and I'm honored to be able to inspire you :) keep up with it!!

I think you need to start with tiny goals. If you think about the big picture right away you'll get overwhelmed and be discouraged. Maybe for your first week, have a goal to drink enough water like MB_Val suggested. Then after a week of doing that, add another small goal to make one meal each day a bit healthier. Then make…

Smart Food Delights white cheddar - 1 cup is 35 calories so you can have a little under 3 cups. It's my go-to when I want to snack a lot without a lot of calories

This is amazing - congratulations! Not missing one day of logging is inspiring. I need to work on that :)

ugh, men are lucky that they don't have to deal with this! I usually stay motivated with working out because it ends up making me feel better, but my cravings are through the ROOF. this week I'm pmsing and I snacked way more than usual. anyone have any advice for good snacks to have around to satisfy my crazy cravings?
-
this is going to sound cheesy but just keep believing that you can do it. I would often have negative thoughts that I couldn't do it and that I would always be that way, but I tried to push it out. Also remind yourself that it won't happen right away. I had to be very patient with myself, because I knew it would be a…
