I would venture a guess that while on Keto, you were also at a nice calorie deficit. The grains and snacky carbs have a ton of calories, and its easy to overeat them. As others have said, embrace logging in MFP, if even only for a few weeks. You can eat your carbs, but once you see how many calories they really have-- you…

Yep. Everybody has setbacks. Just brush them off and get back on the train. The key is to not let your setback start a downward cycle. Just let it be a blip on the radar.

I feel like MFP is assuming that we will take 'some steps' during a given day, when giving us our initial goal recommendation. My point is that you would be doubling-up for those calories that MFP is assuming that you will burn (that you don't enter).

Great advice. I defintely will be volunteering to be the DD in the weeks and months to come. I have a poker night scheduled for next weekend, which is always a heavy drinking affair. Going to have to plan smart..

I am following a diet that is basically Keto (low carb, no grains, etc). Is there a real value to actually getting the strips and peeing on them, to make sure you are in Ketosis? Or are you guys not that hardcore? I've been trying to decide how all-in to go :)

Sounds like you know how to do it, and now it's time to put in the work. I added you as a friend, feel free to do the same. Community is key.

That's the toughest part, CA-- When you have a great streak going-- You will lose weight. It's responding and jumping back in when you fall off for a day or two. That's the hardest part.

Please add me. I need positive words of encouragement to keep my going!

I need some accountability partners for when the going gets tough. A simple "Why haven't you been logging your food" can go a long way. Please add me as well. I will do the same!
