That's interesting ! Can you keep us updated on your progress? I don't want to discourage you at all, because I think your idea is really cool, but I did this philosophy for about 3 years. I ate what I wanted, didn't count calories, and worked out a lot, and walked a lot. I found it very frustrating because as I exercised…

I used to regularly get fast food after work. I felt like it was my reward for working. I did this for years, until I finally admitted (even though it tastes amazing and I feel good for eating it), it makes me sad to be overweight. This took me awhile to get to that point. I keep a healthy snack to eat in my car, so I eat…

Hot tea, clean the bathrooms, and then go for a brisk walk!

"Definitely. Good idea! I don't think I've ever binged on whole wheat bread and apples lol. :)" Lol, you wouldn't think so, but what if it's fresh out of the bread machine???? Mmmmmmmm

Some ladies in my evening class just come straight from work. Would that help?

I think first step is getting unhealthy foods out of house. That way when you do need to "binge", it'll be whole wheat bread, rather than chip. Apples and peanut butter, rather than cookies. Do you think that would help?

Great story! You're beautiful. Nice legs

I second the thrift store suggestion! I shop there exclusively! Love me a bargain, plus Macklemore is in my head...

Mini pita pocket with thick slice of fresh mozzarella cheese, put on panini press until melty. Blows your freaking mind.

I used to juice a lot, and at the time loved it. I agree with all naysayers above, that it's not sustainable, but it did give me tons of energy. I don't promote it, but go ahead and try it! I loved trying new combinations. I replaced lunch or dinner with it. But like everyone said above, you are throwing away the…

@jami3d85 have fun!! Have a drink for me!

Hey! We can do this together!

Just want to say great job and that I can relate to the "snappy" behavior. Whenever I try to eat less, or deny myself treats, it makes me grumpy. I don't have an answer for that, but wanted to tell you I feel you!!!

Oh, and I wanted to add two ideas: replace sweet dessert items after dinner with something savory. A slice of strong fancy cheese? (I think that's very French, to have cheese for dessert), or a decaf espresso. Finally personally I find it helpful to avoid foods high in sodium. The reason is that I like to chase salty foods…

@Cbean08 that's a really good point about stalks of food. I don't do this, but when I was visiting my brother who is a chef, I noticed him slicing up the broccoli stalks finely and saving them. I was surprised and asked and he told me that the flavor of broccoli is just as strong in the stalks as the florets. So he cooks…

Ugh I'm right there with you. It's a true addiction. I think the only way is to cut it out completely for at least two weeks. Try to eat high protein/fat to compensate at first. I'm the same. I would think about it all the time. And I just had to not have it in house at all for that first two or three weeks. Then I…

Your English is excellent! It sounds like you have a great plan. I wish you success!

I feel the same way! I'm not over it, either! What I find that helps is running with peers. Do you have a couple girl friends who will run with you?

My husband just said something to me last night that I liked: "don't make changes to achieve a goal. Make changes to improve how you're doing right now, today." Goals are great, but in moments of temptation, they go out the window. But right now, what does your body need to feel it's best?

I think start as sedentary and see how weight loss goes, or how hungry you are and adjust? Regarding the pain, I would start with very simple stretching and work your way into very simple yoga. This will burn some calories, but it's not the point. Flexibility may help with your pain. I hope you have success! Good luck!

Tell your sisters to google "kwashiorkor" and stop using words they don't understand.

Ideals are one thing, reality is something altogether different. Some kids have aversions. I think that's ok. Trust your aversions. Coming from someone who as a kid, my parents made me sit for hours at the dinner table when all my sibling played happily outside.

Does protein powder have lactose? I mix mine with ice cold water with and immersion blender. Nice and smooth.

I agree with there being some sort of miscalculation. If you're feeling fine and losing fine, then there's an error in calories burned or calories consumed. Can you just not enter your normal daily activities? Only enter in official "workouts"?

Ok thanks!

Cut a grapefruit in half, pre-cut the sections, spread butter on top, sprinkle with cinnamon-sugar and broil for 10 minutes. The sugar crisps up hard like a creme brûlée and the sour fruit makes you feel satisfied.

I think you have to be "friends" to view someone's food diary?

Hahaha @GlassAngyl "don't do boring". I'm a history teacher!!! Lolololol! I hated history class in school, until I actually had a *good* teacher in college, and I switched my major to history! The rest is...history? Lol.

"Thank you! The longer fasts are not for everyone I'm sure, but surprisingly I found the hardest part of doing them wasn't dealing with the hunger." @jvcinv What was the hardest part of the longer fasts?

This is an interesting thread. I've always wondered this about myself, too. Not just dry lips and skin (yes I use chapstick and lotion) but always so thirsty! I drink tons, (maybe more than OP). But I do take a good multivitamin daily and have plenty of fat in my diet.
