You are doing great! You can definitely seem changes in the photos. Keep up all the good work.

Cardio is great exercise, but won't really tone up the muscles. Most current research leans toward the fact that most women over-do the cardio while trying to lose weight. I think 25 to 35 minutes a couple of times a week with some weight training will probably give you better results. In short, building the muscles will…

My inner athlete is pissed off that I let myself get fat and lazy! I'm always up for a good challenge. I too feel best when I "let loose my inner athlete"! My gym buddies think I'm a bit crazy, but it gets the job done. Friend me if you want to.

Studies have shown that standing like Wonder Woman in front of a mirror for 2 minutes can boost your confidence. It is like a weird life hack to improve your self motivation. It is weird but science confirms it over and over again. You can talk yourself into feeling strong!

don't forget mountain climbers, jumping jacks, high knees are all good and require only your body and a little space.

I don't know about the potato thing. I do know that a lot of people don't eat the skin and they cheap themselves out of valuable nutrition. So if possible eat the whole potato. The sleep cycle is odd. Have you always had mixed up day night issues? I ask because it can mess with your hormones, which can create trouble…

Try squat jumps, deadlift, and bridges. They all do wonderful things to the butt region.

I have noticed an extreme change in my moods due to exercise. Also, I sleep much better too. It is like my body punishes me with bad sleep if I don't workout.

Well you can't just spot reduce, but weight loss will reduce this. There are several stretching type exercises such as rolling your head back to look at the ceiling, and head circles to stretch the neck muscles. I hope this helps!

Unfortunately people get jealous of other people's weight loss. Just remember you are trying to be the best version of you, and forget the stupid comments. If your goal is to get and stay healthy I will support you 100%!

Be patient! Your body is adjusting to the changes. Make sure you drink enough water, try to eat regularly, and try to get 8 hours of sleep a night. These will help you to shed weight without too much trouble.

Weight loss will definitely help, but exercises that bring your legs/knees up to your chest should work the low region of the abs. The spot just above the underwear line. High knees and mountain climbers are a great exercises that don't require any equipment, but are great.

I have been trying this as freshly squeezed lemon juice mixed with water. I will admit the taste is pretty tart by itself, but I do think it is helping me. I will keep testing this to see if it works. I'd never heard of adding syrup and pepper to it. Maybe I'll try it.

I need more facts to help. What is your workout like? What are you eating before the gym?Do you drink milk or eat milk products before workouts? I ask because that lactose in milk can easily make you puke if you go running. Also, milk takes a bit for the body to digest. If this is the case eat that stuff after your…

Sugar isn't a bad word. Neither is fat, carbs, or calories. I know that dieting is hard because the media sells us a lot of crap. The best basic approach to nutrition is that natural is better for your body. Unless you are a diabetic sugar from good foods (oranges, apples, bananas, or even things like carrots) is fine.…

Deadlifts are a great exercise, and twice a week is fine. However, these days should be spaced apart and not back to back. Tuesday and then Friday allows the body time to recover, which is equally important. Don't be afraid to add more weight if you feel comfortable with your current routine. Too many women don't add…

You sound like you are off to a great start! I'm here to help in any way that I can.

I agree that working out in the morning seems to help me to stay focused. I find that by the afternoon I just can't find the will power to do it. I also found that I need to set a specific goal for myself for my workout. I make sure it is challenging, but achievable. Also, I make sure to change up my workout routine…

One week isn't really a lot of time to not see weight loss. I do have some suggestions that might help, but don't be too eager to make drastic changes. 1) make sure you get 8 x 8 oz glasses of water a day. I know water is boring, but it is vital for almost all bodily functions. My solution is to add lime or lemon to make…

Next time you find that you want to eat something drink at least 8 oz of water first. Then decide if you are still hungry. It is a strange but true fact that the body send the exact same signal for thirst as it does for hunger. Sometimes we get the wrong impulse and we eat thinking that is what our body wants, and often it…

I agree squats, lunges, and mountain climbers are all great for the legs and butt area. If you simply shrink without maintaining muscle the flabby skin just kind of hangs there and is unattractive. If you want to look good in clothes this is an option, but personally I want to look good naked. Muscle helps to add shape to…

I don't recommend a cheat day. It sounds like a free pass to do a lot of damage. I am realistic about dieting though. I think that it is perfectly fine to splurge on a meal that makes you happy after working hard all week. This approach seems to help focus on making the most of the calories you eat. Just remember that it…

Coke zero and all other fake sugars seem to mess with the body's natural way of reacting to sugar. I know this is a weird concept, but if you can handle the swap to water you will see and feel changes almost immediately. I know that tons of people swear by their caffeine fix, but try tea instead. Once you make it past the…

I think it is possible to gain strength at 3 to 5 reps, but you would need really focus on making both form and weight. To ensure that you are working hard enough that last set should be a struggle. I think that it might be more realistic to due 3 x 5 to 7 reps with adding cardio between sets. The easy way to do this is to…

I have three suggestions that might help. 1) Drink more water. The body send the same signal for hunger and thirst, and dehydration can cause all sorts of issues. 2) Eat more protein. This can be from shakes, or meats/eggs, or even Greek Yogurt. I would try to hit at least 100 grams a day. The body wants to use carbs for…

I too am a stay at home mom. I agree people think that you have all the time in the world to cook, clean, raise kids, and also workout. Moms who work have different challenges, but they are also allotted so much more freedom from their children. As many of you know you are not allowed to have any privacy as a mother. My…

Eating 5 to 6 meal/snacks should prevent you from being too hungry to control yourself. However, it might be worth it to start a journal/diary of what triggers you to want to eat. I know it sounds weird, but taking the time to write down helps to allow you to face an emotions that may be forcing you to binge. Then you can…

Alskarani, 1,000 calories is fairly low. I know it sounds weird, but you need to eat to keep your body running properly. Try to focus less on how many calories and more about what you need nutritionally. Also, make sure you are drinking at least 8 glasses of real water. If possible quit "fake" sugars as they seem to create…
