Thank you for posting this. Sometimes I think I am alone in how I feel about my weight loss and how my brain is viewing the outcome. You look wonderful.

Started at 172, down to 122. Now it is time to tone up!

You can add me if you want. I went from 172 to 122. I'm at maintenance now, but i login to MFP everyday.

Hi Sammy! Welcome to MFP. I hope you will have great success with the app. I remember it was seeing a photo of me on vacation that triggered my decision to lose weight and get healthy. One of the best decisions I have made.

The motivation for me was seeing the number on the scale get smaller and my clothes becoming too big for me to wear. I did set milestone goals and when I reached them I did reward myself. After losing 25lbs I bought myself a kayak, something I have always wanted. Honestly though, the motivation should be coming from within…

Feel free to add me. I have lost 49lbs, with 1 more pound to go until I transition to maintenance.

I'm 5'4" and when I joined MFP I weighed 172lbs. MFP gave me a calorie allowance of 1350. In the beginning It was pretty common for me to lose 2-3lbs a week just sticking to that and without exercising. I lost 50lbs in 7 months. Stick with the app and your calorie allowance. Remember, weight loss is about losing the weight…

Thanks for the add everyone!

I gave my husband a bag of clothes to donate because they no longer fit - too tight. Was commenting today how I need to go shopping when husband shows up with the bag of clothes he opted to hang onto on a hunch I'd change my mind about getting rid of them. Super excited I tried them all on and they still don't fit - too…

I am 2lbs shy of reaching my final weight loss goal of 50lbs. I expect to reach it this month and then will transition to maintenance. I'd love to get a head start and make some friends who are already maintaining. Any advice or tips on what had worked for other to successfully maintain is greatly appreciated.

I started out needing to lose 50 and I have 3lbs to go until I am there, but if you need someone to encourage you along the way feel free to add me.

I'd suggest doing a google search for low calorie meals and see which ones look good to you as well as which ones you would be willing to make.

I am really good about staying under my calorie goal and much like you I have a salty tooth. When I first decided I was going to lose weight I was determined to not fall into a diet that I couldn't stick with long term. For me that meant I was not going to give up foods that I enjoy - and I didn't. I just became more…

Nothing wrong with setting a target goal weight, but try not to put too much emphasis on when you reach that goal. Celebrate your milestone losses. Before you lose 60 you will first need to lose 10, 20, and so on. Stick with your calorie allowance and you will see results. Remember weight loss isn't just about fitting into…

"Are you losing weight for someone?" - Husband "Yes. Myself." - Wife My husband, thankfully, has been pretty great in all this. That said, we talk quite a bit about what I am going through. I don't hesitate to let him know how I am feeling and if I need more support from him I will tell him that as well. He's my husband…

I confess that I come across as unbreakable, but inside my feelings are crushed.

Hi Annie, Glad to have you on here and I hope MFP works well for you. We have the same calorie allowance and I remember thinking the same thing about where all the calories went. Amazing how quickly everything adds up. I stuck with it though and lost 40+lbs. I know you will have great success. Feel free to add me if you…

Would love to have some more MFP friends. Feel free to add me.

I've got 5 to go, but they sure do not want to go!

I started to see the number on the scale change my first week. I started to see a change in how I look after about 4 weeks. Not a huge change, but my clothes were baggier on me and my face had started to thin out. I think the important thing to focus on is not the quick change in how you look, but the lifestyle change you…

***What is your biggest challenge in eating healthy and losing weight? I never realized how much of a social eater and drinker I was until I decided to diet. Its difficult going out to eat with friends or family who are not dieting. I have struggled to find the balance of maintaining a diet while still being able to go out…
