I'm 5'3" and 38yo. On the right side of the photo I weigh 132lbs, was eating 1200 calories daily and doing lots of cardio. Photo on the left I weigh 135lbs, eat anywhere from 1850-2000 calories daily, switched to weightlifting instead of daily cardio sessions.

Hi! I exercise regularly, about 5-6 times a week. I'm really active on MFP and make sure to comment and offer support in general. Feel free (this goes for anyone) to add me. Happy to have more MFP friends.

What helped me when I committed to losing 50lbs was eating foods that didn't pack a huge calorie punch but we're filling - lots of salads, veggies and fruit before eating my dinner or lunch. I'd drink water or tea before breakfast. This sounds weird but I also started using smaller plates so my meals looked like a lot to…

As someone who was once in your shoes I will say for me, lifting weights and reverse dieting got me from that skinny fat look to toned and strong. I was terrified to eat more after having lost 50lbs by diet/deficit alone (no intentional exercise). Once I started to weight train, eat more and by more I mean I went from 1350…

Hi there! Feel free to add me! I'm 38, but lost 50lbs 7 years ago using this app and have kept it off. My diary is open and I log it all. Happy to help and offer any support.

Mine is open and I log everyday. I weight train 5x a week so counting my macros as well.

Feel free to add me. I'm on this app everyday, have an open diary and I do strength training 5x a week. I post regularly and definitely am happy to support others how I can. Cheers!

Thankfully I have never been one for soda, but can appreciate the challenge of trying to let go of old consumption habits. Have you tried carbonated water and adding flavoring to it (such as Mio)? It might help curb those soda cravings that come up.

Feel free to add me. I log on every day, dairy is viewable and I used this app to lose 50lbs. Happy to help champion you on your journey.

One of the things that worked well for me when it felt like the weight loss process was going oddly slow was reducing how many calories I was eating back after logging my exercise. If MFP said I burned 300 calories I would only allow myself to eat back 25% of that and only if the exercise was 100% intentional (not just…

You are welcome to add me! I log in every day. :)

When I was actively losing I would "save" some calories for the weekend. Instead of eating my full allowance each day, I'd bank some - about 100 each day, so on the weekend, I would have around 500 additional calories to play with. If I knew in advance I was attending a bbq, picnic, etc I made a point to not eat back…

You can add me. I am not actively trying to lose weight, though I did lose 50lbs using this app. I am in a place where I am increasing my calories (slowly) in an effort to gain more muscle. Could really just more MFP buddies who are active, comment, message. I'd be happy to tell you that slice of cake will cost you an hour…

:::snarfing down some ice cream::: Coworker enters office: Um, you still on that whole weight loss thing..? Me: Actually I'm at maintenance. You gotta try this ice cream. Coworker: What kind of wizardry diet allows you to eat ice cream?! Me: I might have a Kat Kat later. Anyways you need something?

Like you, I had the same challenge. I was great during the week, come the weekend there was just too much temptation. Here is what worked for me. -Save some calories for the weekend. I was allowed to consume 1350 calories to lose weight, but I typically ate around 1200 so I could save those extra calories for the weekend.…

When I first joined MFP I was a bit taken back by the fact that yes I was going to have to read labels, count calories, weigh my food, etc. It felt like a lot at first - kind of obsessive as you say. But really it was just me introducing something new to my life that had NEVER been there before. Anytime you bring something…

I'm not going to pretend to know you or your situation at all, but for most people that is a pretty aggressive goal. My hope for you is that you take your revitalized energy and determination to lose weight as an opportunity to make a lifestyle change. Doing too much of anything can lead a lot of people to burn out and…

I feel like this post is the support group I have been seeking. For too long I have been surrounded by people asking how on earth I lost 50lbs while they watch me dip a kit kat in peanut butter. But you all get me. You get me.

That used to happen to me. The cravings and pain in general was pretty extreme. I literally used to lay in the fetal position eating Milano cookies. No amount of midol or IB profen worked. What helped some was increasing my water intake. I would drink well over 100oz of water a day and while it helped some it was simply no…

I'm just shy of 5'5" and my starting weight was 172 back in June. I've since lost 50lbs reaching my goal weight of 122lbs, but I still login to MFP everyday and love making new friends!

I downloaded an app on my phone, "30 Day Butt Challenge" - I will be starting that this evening if anyone cares to join me. I've done it before and really liked it.
