I use my scale regularly but i fruit didn't dawn on me, lol, but I have been known to weigh prepackaged items to see if it really is what it says, that started from measuring all the chicken and beef in packages to see if the store lied!!!

I felt (nearly) the same way about pasta, and because it's such a high calorie item, i too cut it from the foods I eat. I recently had a "pasta" dish that used zucchini instead of the lasagne type noodles to roll the yummy stuff in, and it was awesome. Now if only I could pass completely on the cheese.....

I always said I've got a slow metabolism but I lost an average of 2 lbs of week for 6 months, I think the people that I thought had fast metabolisms basically are more active. It's kinda like the old big boned thing that doesn't exist.

Get a stand up desk, If that's not possible they have those yoga ball chairs and you actually work your core balancing. Maybe set a timer, to get up and walk around ever so often.

I get up really early and have 2 breakfasts, one as soon as I get up and then another at a "normal" time, or one light breakfast and heavier lunch, like yogurt and coffee, or 150 protein bar with coffee.
